Yes ok he has said he wants but interview Lambert and appoint Lambert if he wants the job. OGS as I said is managing at very low level compared to EPL.

Stan Collymore talking about OGS. He just said he was wrong to have tweeted about OGS having turned down the job. He said Villa haven't offered him the job and that from his "contacts" in Norway that he would seriously consider it if offered.
Collymore's just an idiot who likes the sound of his own voice, or tweet.
Collymore blocked me for pointing this out.  HE also had a go at people who questioned TalkSport's line "A lot of you seem to be able to speak Norwegian"

i'd rather speak ONE WORD of Norwegian than a load of bollocks...

So what's changed since about 1:00? Haven't been able to watch tv or listen to the radio.

Collymore has had to sacrifice his dignity to work for TalkSport. The station which was calling OGS `a done deal' on Thursday night, and by lunchtime today announcing that it was off. And now saying that maybe it's on, and maybe it's not.

What a collection of fucking jostlers.

The news stations have taken a few minutes to work out what Ole *actually* said, and realised that he hasn't said no, because no offer is actually on the table.

And indeed, quite to the contrary, he's pretty much said "yes if you want me".

Thanks for informing.

I can probably bet SSN had the yellow ticker going when this was announced before realizing he hadn't actually said no to managing Villa. Morons.

It's things like this that erode people's trust in journalists. They were slow out of the blocks on the story in the first place, because they decided it was just `internet gossip,' and a dreary, humdrum club like Villa was never going to do anything they didn't expect. But having caught up at last, they have to pretend they're one jump ahead by continually `calling' a decision which hasn't been made. It's embarrassing.

We were all going ooh at the possibility of OGS,
SSN & Talkshite then suddenly started saying OGS has turned down the Villa job and the oohoing turned to aaarghing.
We interpreted the OGS statement as things are still ongoing and the oohing continued.
SSN & BBC have back-tracked and don't know shit and the Molde board have thrown a strop so a bit of booing followed.
Things are as they were with the original oohing so if he takes the job there will be a lot of cooing.

Now I'm going for a lie down.

Im sure i read somewhere that Martinez and Lambert are having talks this week.

with Villa , or with each other (about why not to take the job) ?
ALL this is blah, blah bollox at this stage.
OGS ? yes, please - look at the poll here.

Let's HOPE Messrs Lerner & Faulkener don't mess up !
We are NOT the force we once were & we need to SELL
ourselves accordingly. Shrewd handling & a QUALITY
appointment is IMPERATIVE for the future of our club

This.

A week ago lambert was the one many wanted, and ole wasnt in the picture, now it seems on the back of a youtube man utd programme he is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I am inpressed with what ive seen of ogs in recent days but would still prefer lambert.

Seems the BBC and SSN are now back tracking on they're earlier exclusives

`Sky News - Never Wrong For Long'

Some people never learn, take ssn with a pinch of salt!

Mysteryman thinks someone in the running who hasnt been mentioned- nigel adkins?

Roberts Di Matteo would be my outside choice. 20/1 and sorted Chelsea out when they were left in a mess. Maybe dependant on the Champs final result later tho.

No offence but Mysteryman was on here with the last managerial upheaval and seemed to have as much inside knowledge as to who the next manager was likely to be as Pat Murphy and Stevie Wonder.

er...

I wonder if anybody at VP has considered Brian McDermott or Nigel Adkins?
Both young*, vibrant and successful managers- I've just googled them so it must be true.

And he's 5th in the betting @ the moment.  ITK?  It'll be the first time, if I'm anywhere near with that sort of speculation!
