Martinez - No thanks, turned us down last year and has only just kept Wigan up again. I can't see what all the fuss is about this chap. Let Liverpool have him.
RDM - I still remember his time at WBA and he wasn't pulling up trees there before they sacked him. This thing with Chelsea is down to the team rather than his management skills in my opinion.
Lambert - A step up for him and would be interesting to see how it pans out.
OGS - This one appeals to me, young, ambitious, good contacts in the game, a surprise that we hadn't thought of. My only concern is would he stand up to the likes of Dunne/Collins (who seem to be the main troublemakers). Hopefully "Baby faced assassin" off the pitch as well.

I'm convinced he's a great candidate, a risk yes but no risk no reward.

Agreed. Hindsight is risk free and its rewards are commensurate. Go get him.

I am inpressed with what ive seen of ogs in recent days but would still prefer lambert.

Spot on

I wouldn't want everyone complaining we don't go for OGS if we appoint Lambert.  Especially when the evidence to support OGS as being the best candidate is what exactly?????

If it is going to happen, OGS will resign after the match tomorrow.  He obviously has a great affinity with Molde and it is whether he feels he can break away now.  If he is fiercely determined to make it as a top manager he will overcome loyalty to the club.

There was nothing in the press conference that said one way or another whether he will be our next manager or not.

Other than the fact he wasn't offered the job.

Collymore has had to sacrifice his dignity to work for TalkSport.

You're telling me that the dogging, girlfriend beating, England rugby player punchbag still had some dignity to sacrifice?

This is a fair point you make.

Spoke to some Villa fans earlier and a United fan... It seems like most thought Solskjaer would be good for us and it seems like most Villa fans would like the idea of him managing us. Good young manager etc..  the United fan was telling me all about how Solskjaer managed the United reserves and mentioned how him winning the league in Norway was all a bit of a surprise to a lot of people not really knowing about it.

It was good chatting some of them though and it was nice to hear them being open minded about Solskjaer managing us being able to see the bigger picture. At least I didn't have to hear the "hes not good enough for us" "we deserve better" nonsense.
