Oh Bollox, here we go again. This is how this works:

We get a manager, he proves to be shite, we clamour to get rid, he goes, we then wax lyrical about all the exciting possibilities, one by one they f*ck us off and we're left with the shite.

I can see him kissing the red devil badge now as we go down to our customary demolition at Old Trafford.

It's all sooooooo predictable. Mug me off if you want but I know I'm right.

Yet another manager of our great club deeply in love with another. Woopee do.

We haven't been "fucked off" by anyone so you're wrong.

Martinez last year?

Last year?  Are you in a time warp my friend?

Pros:
apparently he plays attractive passing football
Won stuff in Norway
Bit of a name so ups our profile
He's not Mick McCarthy

Cons:
apparently he plays attractive passing football - another revolt from the Hoofs?
The stuff he's won is at a shit standard and he more or less bought the league
Loves Man U
Lerner apparently rates him

Has Randys private jet pilot got his Norfolks and Norways mixed up in search for a new gaffer?

Actually for me, very exciting. Mainly because of his youth and passion, and I have a good feeling and hope I am not wrong. As someone pointed out, serving under Fergie for so many years can't do him any harm (although a counter argument could be, would we be happy with Bruce or Hughes coming here who were under the same heirarchy; probably not).

Its a more enjoyable thought than a few of the names been banded about, thats for sure! Hope we get him.

To be fair Bruce and Hughes were just players at United

OGS joined the backroom team there  and would have been involved with coaching etc

Yes, 110% yes.
Why not? Even McLeish couldn't relegate us so we'll be okay whatever happens, and we just might be employing one of the up and coming stars of football management. Okay so when he gets us into the top four he'll be straight off up the M6 but fuck it, it'll be a ride.

Fergie would be a hard act to follow. He might fancy making his own history.

So, two of your cons are due to not rating our players or owner?

Nope

Martinez spurned Villa’s advances a year ago and, after his astonishing end to the season in keeping the Latics up, has been installed as one of the favourites for the vacancy at Anfield.
Another go? Wigan's Roberto Martinez turned Villa down last summer, will they go back for him this time around?

I believe he's on record saying getting the man utd job is his dream.   He'll not be around long either way!

I think he's very different from all the others that have come out from Fergie's shadow.

Most of them have had to move away to get coaching roles, OGS was on the verge of retiring away from the game and was convinced by Fergie to go into coaching.

Then look at the assistants that have left man u and failed, none of them have had the personality to be the 'main man' OGS seems to have that as well.

If it's in the Daily Mail it must be true.

Good luck to him, if he comes here and does well enough to get the man u job we'll have had a few years of being a damn sight better than 16th in thwe league with 37 goals all season.

What does that article prove? We went after him last season, so its unsurprising that we'd be linked again.

I can't get excited about Lambert. I like the fact that OGS builds his teams around passing and good movement. It's what i've wanted to see us play for a long time. For people wondering how he would handle our 'big personalities' he can get all his medals out and wave them in their shit faces before he kicks them out.

Who then, apart from the mythical foreigner Theremustbe Someone, is going to come here, be successful, and never want a bigger/better job?

We clearly haven't gone after him this year, do you seriously think Dave Whelan would miss out on another ego stroking opportunity to tell the press his boy rejected us again.
