Brian, if you had been logged in to H&V you would have been well ahead of the betting market. Some of the finest analytical minds of our generation have been on this one. It's been like a Platonic Symposium, with optional seminars on Norwegian idiom, body language and business etiquette.

It's things like this that erode people's trust in journalists. They were slow out of the blocks on the story in the first place, because they decided it was just `internet gossip,' and a dreary, humdrum club like Villa was never going to do anything they didn't expect. But having caught up at last, they have to pretend they're one jump ahead by continually `calling' a decision which hasn't been made. It's embarrassing.

agreed. well put

That's what I was about to say (about Damon's post)

Me too. Once in a while it would be nice if people actually stopped slagging the board and back them for so far being spot on in their interview process. They are doing exactly what they should be doing to get the right candidate. Just because the press can't keep up, or because they think we should be hiring from the managerial scrap heap leads them to stick their nose up at us. They end up looking the fools and back tracking their stories. Even fans like Collymore are made to look stupid due their so called contacts getting it wrong. The board might have made some costly mistakes but my take is that they are playing this one superbly.

Good post Damon, sums it up well. Incidentally, as a retired teacher, with a degree in English, I too despair over the use of the apostrophe, possessive or otherwise.

I think it's the obsession with having to be 'first' whether the information you report is correct or not, that impacts on the quality of news reporting. Sky News, with their brilliant self promotion have a lot to answer for imo.

I think we're playing it awfully.

I was sure I read a few posts slagging Racist FC off for doing what we're doing.

It appears MOlde have just released OGS's answers to the the questions.

Utterly disgraceful to breach trust like that but it's clear he'll come if we want him.

Quote
Saturday night, MFK Director Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen in Rbnett with the answers from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - so Jacobsen reproduces them from the conversation.

1. Will you lead the MFK of the season?

- It's a hypothetical question, but I get an offer, I will travel as soon as I can - probably after the game against Hønefoss.

2. If / when you go from MFK, will you bring someone from the support of MFK?

- I want to bring Mark (Dempsey) and Richard (Hartis).

3. If / when you go from MFK, will you take with you some of MFK's players?

- Yes, I want to make an offer to Magnus Wolff Eikrem.

- Furthermore, I confronted Ole Gunnar that he would not take such a situation had developed on Thursday evening (May 17th). If he went by plane the next day, it would possibly have consequences. In my experience this, this was a ordrenekt of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said MFK Director Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen Rbnett.
