One less game to play and we're still outside the relegation zone, so I'll take that as a positive, thanks. Hopefully it's one more point gained towards our survival, and just two more games left until the abomination that is Alex McLeish is removed from Aston Villa FC.

agreed &
well put.

Pretty chuffed with a point to be fair.

Chuffed with a point at West Brom... Jesus...

that it has come to this, eh ?  a 1-2 loss at VP in the week, to poor opposition too. Un-fucking-believable

You've just reminded me that I put a bottle of wine in the freezer when I got back to chill.  I've forgotten about it and now I'm going to have to wait for it to defrost before I can have a drink.  Damn and blast.

Don't wait, smash the glass and have a wine lolly

Hehe.  I found a bottle in the fridge with some wine left in it.  Goodness knows how that happened.  I'm drinking that while I'm waiting.

The difference between us and Wigan is they have a game plan, a strategy a way of playing football. I dont think they are that great when you look at the squad they have got but they are a team.
We on the other hand are a dysfuntional outfit lacking in direction, tactics and strategy.

Taken from bbc website:

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish: "I have had to show my experience and leadership and that has come to the fore. I will not curl up and die. I will persevere to the end as I always have done."

He has shown his experience and leadership, and they were both found wonting. The guy is deluded.

and which 'end' are we referring to here, exactly, the END of Villa's run in the Premiership ? the END of his 'Managership' (I use the term loosely) ? or the END he talks out of ?  The man is so far out of his depth he can't even see the shallow end...

"But McLeish denied this had anything to do with him being public enemy number one with some sections of Villa fans.

He said: "My seat was in the middle and it was a bit of a chore trying to get past Peter Grant so I just let him stay out there and pass the messages on".

So, he hasn't even got the tactical nous to win at musical chairs? He could have just swapped seats, the dozy sod.

Exactly. "My seat was in the middle", I mean come on. What is this, the Royal bloody Opera House? You can sit wherever the hell you like, Eck, we're not buying that one. I know you're exposure to Chris Hearne and the like won't have helped, but seriously, how thick do you think we are?

I respect him for staying in the dugout. If he'd come out, he'd have copped a load of shit and it might have affected the players. So fair play.
