Cant be bothered wasting my time commenting on AM, but todays game highlighted yet again that the majority of our remaining senior players simply arent good enough at this level...Heskey, Hutton, Warnock, Dunne, Cuellar, N'Zogbia...obviously a few of these players contracts expire in the summer and hope none of them get to wear the shirt again after this season has finished.

I expect Wigan and Bolton to finish above us so our PL fate rests in the hands of the QPR and Blackburn results as I cant see us managing to get 3pts ourselves.

Tomorrow I'll be cheering on Spurs... and Chelsea.

Strange times.

I wont be, if we cant stay up on our own merit we don't deserve for results to go in our favour

Christ, what a weird stance that is.

You don't hope results go for us, thus ensuring we stay in the top flight?

I don't think we deserve to stay up, we've been so utterly embarassingly shite all season, but I wish our relegation rivals all the bad luck under the sun if it means we do stay up

Hate the thought of Villa going to Norwich with them singing we'll meet again....

Like we did to them a few years ago.

We're a grim team.

I suspect Albion gave Hutton all that space on the right as it was the easiest way of getting the ball back.

The picture looks a lot easier than it did on Tuesday. I'll forgive Kevin Davies an awful lot of sins if he lays half the Spurs team waste in midweek.

Wigan beating Newcastle was probably a good result for us.
a) They will stay up anyway
b) It keeps Chelsea's and Spurs' interests going
c) It's fucking funny

Give us a goal or two next week, Emile.

Fight, fight, wherever you may be
We are the boys from the Holte Army
And we snarl at women in the library
And the bloke with the apron and charcuterie

Brilliant, Damon. Well done.

Goes without saying for me. When Bolton equalised I was shouting and swearing.

Three points against Spurs and we won't have to worry.

To the group of blokes in the Villa end who tried to get a "Let him die" chant going whilst the paramedics were trying to revive the WBA fan................

Fuck off you you bunch of idiots. You are an embarrassment to the rest of us.

Just back from a post-game excursion to the supermarket with the lady. I was browsing the wine shelves looking for something to numb the pain this evening when a jovial red-faced salt-of-the-earth type, wearing a vintner's apron (he was promoting some local wine on special offer) came up and said "Good evening Sir!Well, well! Having a little trouble making our choice, are we? Ho! Ho!"

Never has the word "Non!" been pronounced with such cutting contempt and evil-eye stare. The bloke actually stopped dead and walked away from me. I feel thoroughly ashamed of myself now.

My wife also announced to a bemused checkout queue that "[she] want[ed] to hit me; it's Aston Villa again".

There must be thousands of other halves suffering our bad modds this season........credit to them !!!

This is all YOUR fault McLeish.

What? I have not heard of a fan needing to be revived? Can you elaborate further?

Near the back of the stand on the right side of the ground as we were facing.

A bloke collapsed and was being given the full Vinnie Jones "hands only" CPR by first the stewards and then the paramedics. He was carried off on a stretcher with an oxygen mask on. I couldn't tell from where I was whether they'd been successful in reviving him.

Now it is likely that our new season is not in our hand but it is in other top club hand. Largely disappoint. McLeish Out!!!!

Absolutely. Needed to win today. Fair play for staying up late to watch this shower!

How did you work that out? However unlikely it is, if we win our last two games we stay up. So it's in our own hands isn't it?

If true, that would be moronic and insensitive on a stunning level. Let's hope it's mot true.

As for Mr Fuse's view on earning our survival, take a cold shower son. If we go down then you'll be utterly gutted and will massively regret thinking that way. Every point for us helps and every point the others drop helps. We need wins from Chelsea and Spurs. It's that simple.

Sorry TV, but is is true. They idiots in question were only a few yards away from me. Well done to one of the guys behind them who confronted the ring-leader and despite facing a tirade of abuse himself, eventually got them to stop.
