If we really do draw the last 4, winning only 7 games in a season and avoiding relegation must be fairly unique.

Conversely, losing only 13 or 14 and getting relegated takes some doing too.

Draw two more games I reckon, Bolton and Norwich.  What worries me is that we appear toothless up front, I cannot see us scoring our way out of trouble.  Once we go below those teams trying to catch us, I cannot see us fighting our way back above them.  Goal difference might yet keep us up.  The other thing is, I genuinely hope that Randy and Faulkner don't see it as an achievement if just "just about avoid the drop".

What REALLY worries me are the results teams below us are getting and might continue to get.

Beat Bolton and draw the other three.
Thus we become new world record holders for draws in a season - half the fucking amount we've played.

I wouldn't like to guess individual scores but I think we'll get just two points from the four matches and go down.

I'd love to know how you've worked that out.

I'm still hoping we 'beat Bolton without realising it'.

It's a great time to play spurs.  Apparently.

It would take yet more exceptional results elsewhere for that to happen. At the very least QPR would need to win at either Chelsea or Man city, or Blackburn at both Chelsea and Spurs.

Liverpool (A) L DRAW
Stoke City (H) D
Man Utd (A) L
Sunderland (H) D
Bolton (H) L
West Brom (A) W
Spurs (H) L
Norwich (A) D

Or 6 points.

Sticking with this, atm we're a point better off than my easy predictions. We win one game a month so it's either going to be Bolton (which i can't see happening) or West Brom.

I can see it being touted as some kind of achievement.  I can definitely see McLeish trying to convince people that keeping us up in the face of all the "adversity at the club this season" has been a good accomplishment.
