Don't disgaree with other posters' assessments but I don't think we should assume that QPR wont beat Stoke - I think this is quite likely. Iagree that on paper they have a daunting task at Man City but getting a draw there would not be outside of the bounds of possibility.

Let's keep one foot on the floor.

I think QPR could beat Stoke but I cant see them getting anything against Man city , so even If we dont win another game , we will go up on goal difference.

Wigan are safe and probably Bolton.

I think Bolton are still in big trouble as they sit in the bottom three and their game in hand is against Spurs.

I think It'll be Wolves (obviously), Blackburn and QPR, but I think it'll be tight between them and Bolton.

I think WBA will go crap  , now Woy might get England job , so expect Bolton to beat Albion at home .  I dont think they are safe , no one out the 4 teams are but I just think QPR having looked crap yesterday will be gone with Blackburn , and Bolton are scoring again.

How sad this as become . I just hope Lerner is loading the gun right now and getting ready to give the clown the bullet.

Nor do I. Nor do I think QPR will beat Stoke. Stoke are exactly the sort of team that can and probably will punish them. But if I had to bet I would say Blackburn have all but gone and QPR will join them with Bolton getting another point or two to keep their noses above water.
I'd much rather Bolton rather than QPR went though. I can't stand them.

Hopefully next season Stoke can stop stinking up this league and take their horrible cheating football back where it belongs.

Not an ideal weekend for us, but the games are running out and we'll be fine. Wigan made up two points on us, we added a point to our gap over QPR, the gap between us and Bolton stays the same. Blackburn, as we expected, are falling behind.

One place left now. I think Wigan's momentum will take them above us, while Bolton will overhaul QPR (Stoke and Man City? Don't fancy them) - it'll be Blackburn and QPR to drop, I think.

If there were five games to go, I'd be seriously worried but the games are ticking by, and without us doing an awful lot to help ourselves, we're slowly getting there.

Not an ideal weekend for us,

Really? Maybe not ideal but not far off.

Exactly what I was thinking.

We look less likely to go down now than we did before the weekend's games, which is all we can realistically ask for.

As in, we're getting out of this due to teams below us losing, we haven't done a lot ourselves to drive our way out of trouble. Whatever it takes, I guess - I always thought (and said), we'd survive because not all of the teams below us would get enough points.

We'll probably stay up and finish the season alongside Wolves as the worst team in 2012. But yes, staying up is obviously our priority, however we achieve it.

Tony Pulis looked right up for getting a result against QPR.  Whatever we say about Stoke, they have a strict game(?) plan and stick to it, getting results, and being very very difficult to play.  While they may have out performed us for possession at VP, I dont think wiping the ball dry for throw ins or setting up free kicks should count.  I will be cheering them taking three points from QPR, but not as much as us taking three points from Jellyface whos week has just gone from bad to worse. Mwah hah hah hah hah

I think its gone as well as we could have hoped only Newcastle let us down, Chelsea have made it nigh on impossible for QPR to catch us, Blackburn look buried if they don't beat Wigan and Bolton are back in the shit - I don't need to look at the table or fixtures anymore, its over we're staying up.

Mind you, for a weekend that was all but ideal for us, my mood about the Villa remains depressingly low.
