There's only one Steve Keane

Don't say that, Randy might read it and give him a job.

Unless there's a ridiculous turnaround in goal difference, for us to get relegated now would mean the team with the worst away record in the division (QPR) would have to get at least a draw (if we get no more more points) away to Man City, the team with the near perfect home record.
Pigs can't fly so I'm going to chill with a Guinness and look forward to tomorrow's sunshine.

Forget Wigan, they have wolves at home last day of the season. BBurn cant catch us.
QPR have to get 4 points from 2 and Bolton 4 points from 3 to over take us, either team failing this means we stay up.
Can we get the banners out now?

Good results i guess, but until one of the three directly below us can't get 38 points,or we manage a point i won't be relaxing. I hope to god we've got it sown up after spurs because i really don't fancy Norwich if we need something. They won't care last game of the season and may have a real go at us for fun given they've stayed up comfortably.

I still think we'll go down. Whatever happens Wednesday, after that Bolton & Wigan have two fairly winnable games left which will see them safe. If Bolton get a draw Wednesday I think they're safe. Wigan could beat anyone right now i think they're safe also. Qpr will do stoke so that leaves it between us and them. I think they'll draw at Citeh which puts us down.

Hi All can i say as a blue nose i DONT want to see villa go down and i KNOW  you wont. I dont understand fans of local teams that want to see other midland teams go down.Would it not be better if we had all the midland teams in the premiership like we did years ago.I love the local derbys we might npt win many but i do enjoy them.
As for eck well i feel it was your owner who is at fault it was clear from the start he was not welcome there. Not so much because he was a x blues boss but because he had just took us down with crap football.
It shows us supporters dont count when we know we will be here to support our clubs long after the players ,owners, managers jump ship.
I have seen some of your football this season and it was nothing like a few years back.
I do know you have been missing a few top players and i know if bent was fit you would be ten points better off maybe more.
I do feel sorry for the supporters of villa because i have to say your away support is second to none , I think most games i watch you fill the away end which is easy when you are in the top 6 or winning trophys but it is when you back is to the wall real support counts.I think your ground is in the top 6 in England and your training is said to be one of the best world wide. Also your second team always seem to be top of their leage is again is fantastic so i think with the right man in charge as owner and manager you will be up the top of the premiership in no time. Good luck for the reast of the season and who knows we might be mplaying our derbys next season in the prem.Reguards Bill.

I wonder if those half a dozen or so posters who spent an hour after the Bolton game smugly telling people that they'd been predicting our inevitable relegation for so much longer than the rest of us are still so sure about it today.

Should we still all be sorry for not having agreed with them in the first place?

Don't forget Mancini and Hughes despise each other....remember the slap Hughes gave Mancini whenever he offered his hand last year?

I believe Mancini would love to send Hughes down.

Thanks for the kind words, True Blue. Wish we could be as confident as you are!

Spot on about McLeish. Our clubs are now united by one thing: we have experienced the 'management' abilities of this man. Hopefully we can be shot of him as you were - hopefully to the Dingles, which would make us all laugh.

Just checked the relegation odds at Paddy Power:

Blackburn 1/50
QPR 4/7
Bolton 6/4
Us 16/1
Wigan 18/1

The bookies think we're safe!
