If we could just win a football match we could end this nightmare next Saturday, great news about QPR but something tells me they will beat Stoke and that it will go to the final day, Villa wont make it easy for us they never do, we are looking like we may just be ok but cannot relax just yet.

Indeed, but hopefully by the time we kick off next week, we will be safe.

We don't play 'til Sunday

I didn't realise when I said that, that nearly everyone kicks off on Sunday next week!

Thankfully it's a bank holiday Monday, just in case we have to have a few celebratory drinks after the game, or drown our sorrows!

QPR being hammered today is a very welcome bonus. Even if Villa lose their remaining two games by reasonable margins, QPR will have to beat Stoke by a large score and get a point away at Man City to finish above us. If Blackburn lose today as I expect, they're as good as gone.

We're not going down.

That's not quite right. If QPR get 4 pts from their final 2 games they will be on 38. We're currently on 37 so would need one more point. Goal difference won't come into it.

He actually says "QPR will have to beat Stoke by a large score and get a point away at Man City to finish above us."

Which isn't true. If we lose our last 2 games a 1-0 QPR win and a 0-0 will be enough for them to finish above us.

I think that's what I said isn't it??! ie if QPR win (even just 1-0) against Stoke, and we lose against spurs, we'll go into the last game level on points. I actually think there's a pretty high chance this might happen. Then, QPR will need to better our result (so if we lose again, they just need to draw). But they either beat us on points, or lose out on goal difference. I don't think there's any chance they'll score enough to better our goal difference. That would bring back memories of the last time we played at Norwich where we faced a similar situation.

Of course, QPR shouldn't beat Citeh, But if the title charge is over it's not impossible.

Hopefully QPR will bottle their Stoke game. Looking at Spurs, I'd be very happy with a point but surprised if we get it. We really struggle against teams who pass and move.

We could do with Man City beating Man U tomorrow to ensure they have plenty to play for against QPR.

100% agreed. And they've got Newcastle after that too. If its all over I could envisage a man u0-1 west ham scenario again . .

We couldn't have asked for a much better set of results. Woeful that it's come to us cheering on Chavski and Spurzzzzzz though.
