Sack McLeish. Save The Villa.

My new motto.

I am assuming all the 'no way we will go down, stop being big girls' blouses' brigade have now left the party? Because you have been spectacularly wrong I'm afraid even if we do now scrape it by the skin of our teeth

its a a small setback nothing more

I don't think I've ever seen anyone so delighted at a Villa defeat. It's a bit sad really.

And no, I still don't think we're going to go down.

If we do stay up, it will be down to 2 sides...we've let Bolton back in and Wigan can produce enough to get above us..
QPR only getting 2 points from Man City and Chelsea away and Stoke at home, more than possible they don't.
Blackburn getting 6 ponts from Spurs and Chelsea away and Wigan at home...unlikely.

So one win needed vs teams with nowt to play for and an off form Spurs....I don't see it at all. We are relying on others...

I think we'll still stay up. Even if we don't get another point and both QPR and Wigan were to bypass us, Bolton need 4 more points and Blackburn 6 more (given their goal difference is much worse than ours). Neither is likely.

We'll stay up and McLeish will be our manager at the start of next season.

I hope you weren't planning on anywhere exotic for your hols this year John.  Newport Pagnell services for you I'm afraid, with maybe a day out at Emberton Park if you're lucky.

A small setback? This was pretty much our banker game.

Bolton have four matches left:

Sunderland (a)
Spurs (h)
Albion (h)
Stoke (a)

I can quite easily see them getting four points from that.

The most important thing now is the way the momentum is with teams. Bolton will be lifted by today, and confident.

We, on the other hand, have not won a single one of our last seven matches. What kind of momentum is that?

Completely incorrect Dave and out of order for you to say that. I thought you were better than that. Very sad to see you write in that way, try asking the posters on here who know me in person if they think that is what I am like. I am solely having a go at all those who were taking the mick out of us doubters for the last few weeks, sometimes in quite a nasty fashion. I shan't bother to post again if you are going to say such utterly ridiculous things

Nope. You assume wrong.

Incidentally, how can the 'no way we will go down' brigade be spectacuarly wrong if we don't go down? Surely the fact that we didn't go down would make your imaginary brigade corract?
