i reckon there is more chance of us losing every game and still staying up than actually getting relegated

I don't think we'll go down, but if we lose our next two, and Bolton, Wigan and QPR all win at the weekend, we'll be 17th and level on points with Bolton.  Now that scenario is highly unlikely, but it also suggests that it's not as cut and dried as we think, and if anybody can ensure that we get dragged into it a bit deeper, it's McLeish.

yes he has been pretty good at it in the past, a specialist even

We must avoid defeat tomorrow- if we lose to bolton i think we we will finish on 36 points, as i dont see anything in the last 3 games- get at least a point against bolton and we should be ok- im flying to the canaries on weds so am praying we are out of this mess tomorrow night!

It has probably already been mentioned but I'm worried if Chelsea get through to the Champs League final they may play weaker teams in their games v QPR and Blackburn.

Previously I'd have had these down as defeats for our rivals.

Just as worried by the situation as I was on Friday. We had a bad weekend, really: yes, we picked up yet another point (talk about inch by inch!) but actually, both QPR and Blackburn made up ground on us. That's what we don't want - we'd have been better off seeing Wigan win, them overtaking us, and QPR and Blackburn losing.

So, we're still 15th, but the teams under us are all getting squeezed up tighter, increasing the chances of all of them (bar Wolves) passing us.

I'd be nervous if all the spirit and enthusiasm hadn't been utterly sapped out of me.

We really don't look like winning a game again. Only team with less wins than us this season is Wolves - I too can see us staying up by a point or goal difference!

That seems a bit soon seeing as we don't play them until the last game of the season ;)

No - you are probably right.  Having checked the fixtures properly it won't affect the QPR game anyway...nor will the FA Cup final.

I rather we beat Bolton then had a boring end of the season.

I don't think you will go down. As much as I re-jig the table result predictor on the BBC site I still cannot get you relegated.  But what do I know, I predicted Liverpool would beat us 3-0.

I especially want the Albion game to be as boring as possible.  I don't want them thinking they can help send us down.
