did anybody see the norwich guy on sky sports news earlier saying grant holt would cost considerably more than the budget of the team that lambert is in negotiations with and gave the impression that he HAS seen our budget, im a little worried on two fronts,
1 why the hell do we still not have a pot to piss in
2 why the feck are we showing our rivals our transfer budget

i truly hope the guy was talking out of his arse but i fear the worst any less than 20 million and we will struggle to improve on last season im sure we could not buy anyone and stay up and get knocked out of the cups early easily with the current squad but to push up the table and have a cup run we need to replace the people leaving with better players as an absolute minimum

If he comes and honestly thinks our priority is nicking Grant Holt from Delia then that's mistake number one. Holt is one player we definately do not need.

As if he has the first fucking idea of what we have to spend.

He can enjoy his five minutes of fame before pissing off to his no mark club never to be heard from again after Norwich go down for another fifeteen years. Bitter, uppety, small club wankers.

IMO Lambert wouldn't take the job should our budget not even stretch to the asking price for Holt*, or be anything like that small.

*Unless they want £30m for him.

We should go and sign that bloke Wolf Wallander Smörgåsbord that Solskjaer was so keen on. That would piss everybody off quite nicely.

Could not agree anymore. A 31 year-old who's just had the best season he ever will have is the last thing we need...I can see why Holt wants to move mind you...

Well said, I made the same point on Wednesday evening on this thread and got a bit of a caning from several posters.  Having just freed ourselves of Heskey we don't want to repeat the exercise with Holt.  The transfer policy going forward must be to avoid buying anybody with no resale value at the end of their first contract.

Our forward line is not a priority for the new manager, sort out central midfield and the full backs first please Mr Lambert.  I can only pray that the story in the Daily Heil about Holt following Lambert to VP is lazy journalism at best and that the Norwich Chief Executive's strongly worded "Grant Holt is not for sale at any price" is closer to the truth.

Holt wants/was promised discussions on a three year contract. Norwich have said no chance.

MON- Lotus  = Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious

I drove past O'Neill as he was driving up to Manchester on the friday before we won up there a couple of years back.

He was driving a fairly basic BMW, a three door gold 325i.

Typical really.

You can still get a bet on Lambert @ 3/100...ooh 3 quid for £100. Dembele bet has disappeared..he said def not going to Chelsea and no bet anymore. Got 18-1 before it did to go to Citeh.
He could change his mind and come to a rising club with promise and a chance of trophies..no won't go there, yet!
