Sorry, but just back from the pub and appear to have logged onto the Top Gear message board!  Can someone point me in the right direction to talk about the Spurs wage bill and when Thatcher is gonna pop her clogs??

I thought it was volkswagen they owned skoda?

They own Audi as well.

Porche, Audi, Bently, Bugattii, Lamborghini, Skoda, Suzuki, Ducati and VW all the same company strangely enough
And Seat.

It's probably stretching a  point to say I drive a Bentley.

I used to have an old Porsche 924, basically a VW with a Porsche badge. I took it to a specialist Porsche garage once (over twenty  years later they still send  a card to my old address at my mum and dads every Xmas for some reason) until I realised any garage will do. On the upside the gear stick is tiny and the handbrake is to the right by the drivers door so with the seats down it makes for a decent 'romantic enviroment' when you are in your late teens/early twenties and still living at home like I was. Bizarrely it had a towbar which would obviously annoy Jeremy.

Spurs wage bill is "down to Daniel, nothin to do wiv me" to quote 'Arry'.

Thatch will live forever.

Happy with Lambert.

A mate has been involved in the design of Thatcher's mausoleum but he insists they have made the dance floor too small.

Yes, but with a Lotus you can have a good time in spite of it's reliability, Pubey is more of a Ford Mondeo. Good at what it does but you eventually get bored of it, realise that some of the controls are in the wrong place and baulk at the increasing repair bills once you've had the car for a while. You trade it in for a nice French Citroen. The Citroen might prove interesting but hasn't been driven for a few years, lets you down badly a few times and eventually suffers a serious mechanical problem. Then you visit a dodgy salesman from Govan and you trust him a little too much when he tells you the Lada Riva is just what you need...

True paul_e, but then the ferrari might have had chronic faults and the merc be smooth as silk all the way? We'll never know, we should do our best to enjoy the merc, after all, it could have been a skoda, right?

Nothing wrong with Skodas, unless you're living in the past or believe very bad and inaccurate stereotypes.

True, but you'd never have one in preference to a Merc!  ;)

I did. Mercs are nowhere near as good as they used to be, Skodas are Audis with a different badge.

... and a push button radio.

Agree I have a Seat Leon which is basically a VW Golf which is a Skoda Octavia and an Audi A3. Same car, different dresses.
