True paul_e, but then the ferrari might have had chronic faults and the merc be smooth as silk all the way? We'll never know, we should do our best to enjoy the merc, after all, it could have been a skoda, right?

Nothing wrong with Skodas, unless you're living in the past or believe very bad and inaccurate stereotypes.

True, but you'd never have one in preference to a Merc!  ;)

I did. Mercs are nowhere near as good as they used to be, Skodas are Audis with a different badge.

Oops! I'd have been hard press-ed to know that though!  ;D

Sadly Merc's stopped being 'smooth as silk' in the mid ninties.

Can we have a car/manager parallel thread now please?

I'll start...

Lambert was on my personal shortlist alongside AVB and Rodgers, so I'm delighted if he gets appointed even if the OGS saga has taken the shine off the selection process a little. Of all the candidates I would say he is the right man for the job at Villa Park.

He's gonna be great.  The press are wankers anyway, let him give them shit, who cares!

For where we are, Lambert is as good as we could expect. Hopefully we'll be good for him and he'll be good for us. After the utter shite we watched last season I'm sure, with a bit of tinkering,  he will get us to finish int the top 10.

He's young, ambitious and no fool.

I would love to see Lambert in the job i like his style of football and the passion he shows.I just hope it gets sorted quickly and he is in place ready for the new season.

Randy and his minions owe us big time after the shit he has put us through with  his choice of shit managers and making us a laughing stock.

I'm sure he would, but the MOT is at best dodgy!  ;D
