A lot of Norwich fans scurrying for cover on Twitter right now. There's a lot of 'there's no guarantee he'll go', 'the job's too big,' 'he wasn't first choice, screw them' etc. Personally, I have my doubts but we've not been linked to the option I wanted and of the ones we are, Lambert is far and away the most preferable one for me.

If it is Lambert then I hope he has a no nonsense approach with some of the players at Villa Park and has the money to build his own squad.  I hope he goes straight in for the likes of Hoillet and also sorts the defence out sharpish.  I really hope that there is money available.

I think contestant number three got a new job this afternoon.

Given that this morning it was Lambert, Martinez or Another, will that be the mystery man then, Dave?

Contestant number 3 on thst list is di matteo- surely hes not villa bound is he dave?

It wasn't di Matteo.

Rodgers or Ranieri?

I think OGS would have been truly the people's choice to be fair, the poll above is pretty split isn't it?

Sometimes it's better that people don't get what they want. The euphoria that many people displayed on the possibility of OGS being our next manager was, to say the least, misguided. He offered nothing that warranted being considered for the job, in my opinion.

Lambert has been my choice since day one.

Martinez & Whelan can do one.

I'm a little slow on the uptake.  What does this mean John?

So we declare a mystery third runner on the very day that third runner gets a job somewhere else?  There's something really naff about that.

We didn't declare it. The press did.

Just signed in to paddy power to check what odds I got with my £8 on Lambert only to discover I also had £5 on Owen Coyle? Was he ever in frame or had I had too much Cidre?

Grant Holt (rather clever that actually, named after a stand! Lol) - possibility that he'll come with Lambert. I don't think he will, but then I'm not sure that Lambert will come yet either!

Holt, bookies favourite to be his first signing

Unless there was never a chance of Rodgers and there still is a mystery candidate? I'm overthinking this now aren't I?   :)
