Well Martinez has made a huge mistake.
What he's done is backed himself, nowt wrong with that nor is it lacking ambition.

I would'nt say he's backed himself. If he was confident in is own ability he would have moved on by now although he does have time on his side.

That said it sounds like to me Liverpool were the only club in for him and they prefered Rodgers so he's stayed where he is.

Right if it's Lambert or Di Matteo, please god let it be Lambert.

It seems like we're lining up another terrible shock appointment. I wish I could say I trust the Board to make a good decision here, but with limited candidates, little ambition and a club in disarray.. I can't seem anyone we want taking over.

Another grueling season at bay..?

I think i read somehwere about Blackpool's chariman saying he wouldnt stand in Holloways way if a top flight club came calling and that he deserves to be there. Could he be the mystery man? (just speculating)

It could be anyone Rich, but most likely it's journos covering themselves in the event that their other guesses are wrong, it gives them the 'I expected that' option after the fact even though they know no more than we do.

It might yet be All Victorious Battles at VP next season, though, you never know!

Is there anything other than twittertwatter to suggest that we've moved for Lambert?

Hey, at least I'm thinking. I'm not going to be a blind optimist here. We hired Houllier out of no where, promoted McLeish to the best modern day position he'll ever get and gave OGS a serious consideration. What makes you think we'll get it right this time around. The amount Randy has spent on managers coming and going is absolutely absurd. That money could be put towards much more useful things. We are going to go for someone that's out of a job or outside the Prem. Randy can't afford compensation for another manager.

We 'interview' candidates but refuse to make formal offers, I think it's because we don't know what or who is best for the club. What to make of this mess...

i hope villadelph is wrong and is proven wrong. Though I must admit to having niggling fears at the back of my mind.

Well, according to the press, it's now a straight choice between Paul Lambert and Mystery Manager.

That'd make an interesting poll!  ;D

I hope I'm wrong too. Believe me, I only want to succeed and for Randy to find someone that is genuinely right for the club. I'm also a bit shocked that Martinez (who I don't fancy all that much but would support if appointed) is avoiding us like the plague. I feel as if he truly knows our situation and knows it's not worth taking on. In my eyes, he's aggressively dismissing us by pledging himself to Wigwam.

How do you see lambert? I see him as a great choice if appointed.

The 100% reliable sources of twitter and facebook seem rife with suggestion that Norwich have given Lambert permission for talks.
