I thought it was interesting that since the story came out about Rodgers flying back from holiday to meet with his chairman he has become odds on for the Liverpool job but no-one has mentioned the possibility it could be something to do with us. There also seems to be an opinion that if Martinez doesn't go to Liverpool he will stay at Wigan, again a presumption leaving us out of the equation.

Thats because our stock has dropped so much within the last two years, why would they come to us? That's what the press think anyway.

Unfortunately they are probably right.

FFS cheer up! We're not the only EPL club in this position at the moment . Save the shroud waving until such time as it becomes obvious that Randy and his creature have fucked up again. But on the positive side, they may actually get it right this time. I think something will happen June 1st.

Why are people giving June 1st as a likely day for some news? I think that's the day the transfer window opens to officially sign and register players. Are we getting a player/manager?

I wouldn't hold your breath, the clowns in charge at Villa will most likely underwhelm us yet again - the present you're hoping for will be someone like Steve Bruce!

So much negativity about the time taekn to appoint a new manager.  Im pretty sure they will get it right.  gie them time.  They know they balls'd up last time and have acknowledged that so they will be out to correct it.

What a refreshingly new and optimistic viewpoint.

It is very weird that we have reportedly not approached any of Swansea, Wigan or Norwich when you consider the vibrant part of the statement released looked nailed on for one of Rodgers, Martinez or Lambert.

Longer it goes on, the more I fear it will end up being Kevin Mac.

The longer it goes on, the more likely it is that it will be none of the names banded about in the last two weeks.

Off to Williams for a punt on Ole.. How did he get on the night? last game. Wasn't June 1st mentioned as a potential signing date? Friday week!

Drew 1-1.

And June 1st is THIS Friday, not Friday week!

Oh shit forgot to put the bet on. Carried away shopping..better get out there again!! Double stake!

Ozz, KMac isn't 'young and vibrant' is he?

AvFc4eVeR, I totally agree with you there! If they wanted one of the obvious names surely it would have been done by now!

No one ever said "young". Vibrant is on there, but young is simply assumed.

Are you saying that KMac is 'vibrant' then?  ;)
