I've been away so forgive me if I'm missing something but is this turning into a predictable farce?

If you mean the regular miseryarses moaning because what they want isn't being done NOW then yes, it's starting to get predictable.

thank fuck Larry's Eleven won. That's him of the list

Why would him getting his side promoted mean he can be taken off the list? If anything I think it makes it more likely to happen. Obviously another promotion makes him a more attractive option for Randy, and I'm fairly sure he'd still leave Huddersfield for us if we did decide to make an approach.

Promotions with blackpool, leeds and huddersfield are more likely to  move him up the list rather than off it!
May not be the right man for us this time but worth keeping an eye on .

Not Grayson please, maybe 5-10 years down the line.

I dont think Grayson is ready to manage Villa yet but if the powers that be decide to go down that road then we'd be in pole position to bring Jordan Rhodes to the PL. Always thought Grayson would manage Villa one day but whether now is the right time for him is another question.

Sorry but don't agree with the folks doubting my assessment of Larry being off the list. He will want to prove himself with Huddersfield in the championship and it was obvious from his post match interview he has a good relationship with his chairman. and I can't  believe any right minded Villa fan would want him managing us. so there!

Poyet ticks a lot of the boxes that OGS did in fairness.

A lot of chatter than Rodgers is now in talks with Liverpool. Gone to odds on with the bookies too.

I wouldn't be too upset if it was Poyet.

If we applied logic (I know last summer and all...) to the search, we know that the 2 managers they have targeted have been about attacking football played in the passing style, with a young manager that would be in it for a while. Poyet fits that bill nicely, and has a similar background to OGS, winner as a player, reserve team coach, number 2, then number 1. By logic, he has to be in the thinking.

I think Poyet is a far better candidate than OGS, he got my vote on this poll.
