Congratulations

He's been hanging around in the shadows waiting for his chance to work with the young ones

We have to wait for our man because he's on a summer holiday out in the country.

Show me the quote where the club say "young" is a criteria? Not being arsey, just seeing it repeated as a new truth, but can't ever remember it coming from the club.

This is a good point, I don't think Faulkner ever used the word 'young'. From memory, in that interview with Pat Murphy, when quizzed whether the new manager would be a younger man, PF replied "well age is just a number but....." before wibbling on for a bit and thereby avoided giving a direct answer.

Re Glenn Hoddle btw - make no mistake Hoddle stopped being a good manager the day he stopped being a player-manager. Would be an awful choice IMO.

He must have been a bit stupid in a past life.

When Hoddle was at Wolves, i think he drew a stupid amount of games in his last season there and we've had enough draws recently to last us 3 seasons.

I can't see it being him anyway.

Well our position at the top of the "most draws" league would be unthreatened.

I wonder if Rose could see her way to passing on the piece of lace to the next lad in charge?

If anyone wants to go carry on believing Doug-wouldn't-have-stood-for-all-this, have a word with Mrs B.
