I applaud Villa for keeping things away from the press, but, come on!!  Give us a tip here and there, PLEASE!!  I'm getting desperate to know.

Holloway, he's been seen practising a Brummie accent.

The reason why we were told we would have to wait is because Bielsa has the Copa Del Rey final tonight. Well, it's a nice thought.

Ian Holloway, as interesting as it would be, can feck off. That is one thing I have decided on in the last 2 weeks since TSM was booted. That Ian Holloway should be allowed nowhere near our club.

Grayson and Hoddle? There isn't half some complete bollocks being rumoured out there. Who's next? Phil Brown and El Tel?

Not quite, but some deluded soul did tell me they had spotted Gordon Strachan down there the other day !

I heard that too. He was clearing tables and filling the water jugs in the restaurant.

It's becoming like those picture tests that psychiatrists give nuts. They show them a blob of colour and they see Steve Bruce or Gary Megson. It's a fucking blob of colour you idiot.

Pre-OGS I was firmly in the Lambert camp, post-OGS when I look at the list on the poll nobody excites me especially, least of all Ian 'Ooo Argh' Hollowedout, arrogant fucking numpty, and Larry G whom I don't dislike but isn't good enough for Villa.

The OGS experience was unfortunate, because it raised so many people's expectations, and unless they come up with another somebody like that it will feel like an anti-climax. That's not criticising the board at all, I think they did right talking to him even if they screwed up with using Randy's jet, but I can't help thinking that they've made a rod for their own backs now. The split in the voting above says why! I hope that they have a conveniently inspiring rabbit to pull out of a claret and blue hat, but last year's experience leaves me unconvinced.

I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping at this point!

Rafa, I mean waiter, more wine please!  ;)

I have now backed Lambert with hard cash at Paddypower.  I was surprised that despite my money going in he still remains second favourite behind Rafa. Emile Heskey is 150/1!

I thought Heskey was getting a one year contract with Leicester ')

Ho ho ho.

Our favourite chuckler old Dave Whelan has it appeared not been taking the tablets again.  This comes from the Mirror...

You what!? Liverpool rubbish claims that Martinez has landed the job

Liverpool were last night mystified by Dave Whelan’s outlandish claims they have offered Roberto Martinez their manager’s job.

Anfield sources insist Martinez has not been offered the post and the Spaniard is no closer to being named as Kenny Dalglish’s successor.

Although principal owner John W Henry was understood to have been impressed with Martinez when they met in Miami on Thursday, he has not made a final decision.

The American wants to speak to more candidates on his shortlist, including Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers and Dutchman Louis van Gaal.

Henry is expected to meet the pair next week in the UK and Liverpool are still some way off announcing their new manager.

Poor old Dave - the rentaquote tycoon is obviously angling to oust 'lovely' Stan Collymore from Talkspout - we can see no other reason for spouting such and endless stream of shite.

Whelan - 92 - could only pull a face when asked about Liverpool's response...

The font of all knowledge - on being
told he had soiled himself again

Why is the old git so determined Roberto shouldn't come to Villa?  Anyone ITK?  I think we should be told.

I wanted Lambert from the off but I'm interested in what AVB's agent said today about him wanting a long term 'project'.

If we are loooking for experience then Van Gaal would be great also.

So my A list would consist of Lambert, Van Gaal or AVB and go from there.

Holloway - a big no thanks.
