I've defended us in the past when non-Villa supporting mates have digs at us by saying no manager is ever good enough for Villa fans. Then I see on here how everyone turns their nose up at a manger who's won La Liga twice, the Champions League and FA cup, even saying McLeish would be better, and I wonder if they have a point.

There seemed to be so many options last Monday. Where have they all gone? Gradually losing enthusiasm for this....

Yep 3 years running weve been in this position and people are takin the piss saying no wants to manage us - i so hope we pull a decent name out!

You mean you can't tell us exactly who it's going to be anymore?

Everyone? Maybe I'm missing something here, but to me it looked like one poster, who was quickly ridiculed, too.

I am surprised that there is no announcement of a press conference  at VP tomorrow morning.

I don't fancy Benitez as our next manager, but that's not to say 'no manager is good enough', I got caught up with the idea of a young, hungry manager with some longevity hence why OGS was such an exciting prospect.  I still think Martinez, Lambert or Rodgers are more exciting prospects than Benitez but that's just my opinion.

Doesnt need to be a press conference to name the manager, just a statement on the website will suffice , press conferences usually follow a few days later, if recent appointments are anything to go by.

I reckon he rings into Talk Sport rather than they ring him.

Randy went back to USA on his private jet.

To Miami?

I don't think anyone really knows what's going on or who we're going to end up with. A part of me would like them to take their time and get the right man but at the same time you  just want to know who it's going to be.
Not sure but I do know he's gone back on his private jet after the meeting with Solskjaer.

I am pleased to hear that. I can almost see it now " Lambert arrives and announces a new era full of silverware for the club he has always supported"

Have you put a bet on Lambert?  What odds did you get?
