reports Roberto Martinez is in Miami - I am lead to believe it's for talks with Randy Learner over a move to Aston Villa NOT Liverpool FC
Who had led you to believe that?

Lerner flew in on Tuesday, and there has been no reports of him flying out. Unless plane spotters can say different.

While it's still early days, some of the impatience is understandable as a drawn-out process going like this

"Ancelotti? Won't come.
Moyes? Won't come.
Benitez? Won't come/On second thought we don't want him anyway.
Martinez? Won't come.
McClaren? On second thought we don't want him anyway.
We bloody need someone. McLeish?! McLeish!"

would be undesirable.

There seemed to be so many options last Monday. Where have they all gone? Gradually losing enthusiasm for this....

I'm hoping the lack of noise is because we've kept a really exciting prospect under wraps and are just finalising it.

I note that, 'the blond angel', Berndt Schuster has come into the betting.  Real Madrid after Capello, got them to La Liga champions in 2008, record points total over Barca's (I'm thinking, 'not draws, then').  Also, there's a comment from the press at the time about being credited for re-introducing 'beautiful football' to RM in that same season.

I also like the bit in his bio that describes him being passionately dedicated to his teams and storming out of more than one press conference.  I think Villa could do with a bit of passion, volatility and dare I say it , vibrancy.  And he's a new name.

To Miami?

I don't think anyone really knows what's going on or who we're going to end up with. A part of me would like them to take their time and get the right man but at the same time you  just want to know who it's going to be.

we were in town lunch time today and saw chris powell going into hotel du vin, i presume he was up here for the grass roots football at the nec, but he seems to have had a good season at charlton and is young and vibrant, would'nt be a bad choice.
