Benitez would hardly bring vibrancy back to the club. It would be like McLeish all over again - defensive football.

Only with a win percentage in the premier league of 55%.....and an average of 1.5 goals per game, something I would have taken last season.

I think to compare Benitez with Mcleish is bordering on the crazy.

it is crazy - but to think we might appoint Benitez is also crazy. He'd bankrupt us for sure

Laudrup would be fine with me. Frankly I'd prefer someone who has knowledge of but hasn't managed in this country (include Scotland in that too) simply so there is less concern about how he did at his previous English / Scottish clubs and more about what he will do for us.

It's Michael not Brian. But I'd be happy with him.

It's weird that a lot of people are happy to have a Manager of perennial strugglers Wigan, but turn their noses up at a man who has won the Champions League and came quite close to winning the Premier League.

Id take benitez over martinez without doubt, a proven track record but cant see it happening without him being promised decent cash to spend.

If we went to Anfield and won, he could paint his dick red and bang the liver bird in the cavern club if he wanted to.
and like Houllier, a massive Liverpool love in

i dont think i could stand all that load of cobblers again

Not FSW please. I would have rather have given McLeish more time than him. Let Liverpool have him.

From what I've heard Benitez is more likely to go back to Liverpool.

Latest whisper is that Ranieri is having an interview at Sandwell Town.

The joys of being a Villa supporter, with Lerners track record backed by Faulkner don't expect too much then you won't be disapointed

Laudrup was someone I wanted us to look at back in 2010.

He'd be an interesting choice, but I think I read somewhere that he's put off a few potential employers by insisting on a release clause should any Spanish team come in for him.

FFS, Rafa is not coming to Villa.

We're going to get a shit name. Again, unhappy.

Shouldn't we be getting Rafa then?

I wonder if anything is actually happening. All we hear is all the people we haven't approached.
