I don't like the bloke, but then it's hard to argue with his track record.  Similar to AVB though, I think it's be a sign that Randy is willing to spend again.

I'd actually be delighted with Benitez.
As would I.

Stumbling points would be having his own staff (goodbye Sid and K-Mac) Plus he'd want a decent budget.

Rafa would be the dream ticket, and I wanted him badly last summer, but have not even considered it this. The only thing is, he is not being considered for Liverpool OR Chelsea, and wants to stay in England. As such, there are not many options, so we might just be a good one.

I was saying to my dad funnily enough this morning I'd take Rafa.  The bitterness towards to Barry saga is now over, and I think he'd do a cracking job for us.  Can attract the right sort of player.

Benitez would hardly bring vibrancy back to the club. It would be like McLeish all over again - defensive football.

I was thinking about Benitez the other day.

Bought Torres, Mascherano, Reina, Alonso, and The RB at Real Madrdid, can't remember his name. And to be fair they are all good players.

Would'nt be disappointed if we had Hoddle though.

Might as well add Guardiola to the poll. I'd like him.

Don't think it will be Rafa. Lerner knows that he would spend more money than the Greek government.

Benitez would hardly bring vibrancy back to the club. It would be like McLeish all over again - defensive football.

Only with a win percentage in the premier league of 55%.....and an average of 1.5 goals per game, something I would have taken last season.

Martinez says "cloob" too - must be a Spanish thing.

Rafa would know major surgery needed and just can't see the funds being there

One for the purists...Michael Laudrup? Out of a job after saving Mallorca from relegation and brings attacking football.

What a player though!
