To be honest I don't think we can turn our noses up at a Champions League and Spanish League winning manager. If Benitez becomes our manager it would be an ambitious appointment. It won't happen though I suspect.

I'd actually be delighted with Benitez.

Martinez in talks with Liverpool in Miami right now accoring to the quiet and reserved Whelan

If that's true, it's a lot further down the line that he got with us last season. Kind of see where this one's going.

#AgentITK on twitter has posted that Kung Fu Panda has firmed up from 200/1 to 8/11 in the last thirty seconds. I'm not convinced, even though Kung Fu Panda is a true story. Fact. End of.

#mysterymeg's money is still on Bigfoot.

I don't need an ITK to be certain that Benitez will not be manager of Aston Villa.
Dowie or Joe Kinnear.

I'd be delighted with Benitez too, but hardly young! Proven track record. Don't see it happening though.

As I recall this option was put to bed last season when he was informed of our new transfer policy.

Nagging doubt for me is that grayson was at bodymoor last week as tweeted by gary gardner apparently and mystery man saying we may have to wait to get our man - please not grayson!

agree! see his odds are on the drift. If he was there then i can't think why. He had a season playing for us once, left his boots?

As would I.

Stumbling points would be having his own staff (goodbye Sid and K-Mac) Plus he'd want a decent budget.

Mates with one of the coaches and went to lunch with them perhaps...

Regularly seen at the training ground (every now and again at least) so may well have been nothing to it? Would they really conduct talks at Bodymoor? I doubt it. It might be larry, but I doubt it.

To visit his old club maybe? Check out the excellent training facilities. I'm sure we have a lot of ex players drop in. *Crosses fingers*

Rafa would be the dream ticket, and I wanted him badly last summer, but have not even considered it this. The only thing is, he is not being considered for Liverpool OR Chelsea, and wants to stay in England. As such, there are not many options, so we might just be a good one.

I would be delighted with Rafa. The more I think about it the less I think we need a 'young' manager. At least with Rafa, he should be able to bridge the divide between the board and footballing decisions.
