Isn't Martinez on Holiday in Barbados until Tuesday?...

but i am impressed with the veil of secrecy surrounding things right now.

Maybe its quite because nothings happening and there all sitting around looking at each other saying "what the f*ck do we do now?"

Just a thought

Only to be told to sit down again by the stewards  :)

Yes true, but I meant more metaphorically.

I'm in the not sure about Martinez camp. Just because Wigan finish seasons strongly doesn't make them a good team. They have been one of the worst teams in the prem for the past 3 years. Jewell and Bruce both got them comfortably mid-table and I don't hear anyone touting those 2 for the job. In fact you could say that Lambert and Rodgers have surpassed Martinez's achievements in one season.

I agree with you here. At the end of the day he's finished lower than those two with a better squad.

Wrong.

From a Wigan fan:

"Yes, we finished higher with Bruce in his final season, but in that team 4 players were crucial: Valencia, Palacios, Cattermole and Heskey - all were sold either in January or August. In the second half of that Bruce season we dropped like a lead balloon. Therefore Martinez came in with major rebuilding to do and without much money to spend. To say he's been backed financially is plain wrong. He's had limited funds from players that we've sold but has needed to massively cut the wage bill, which is what he's done. "

I used to play football and go drinking with the Wigan CEO John Jackson, and my best man was a coach there as well, and they (and the other Wigan fans I know) all absolutely LOVE Martinez.  I met Martinez a couple of times when he was still a player, and he's a smashing bloke as well.

I guess they could fly out to him or vice versa.Remember Corsica?

We'll always have Corsica.

What impressed me most this season was the way he reacted to those two terrible decisions that robbed him of a win over chelsea. Considering what was riding on that game, it was amazing.

Martinez is favourite with both us and Liverpool at the moment,
whereas our second favourite Lambert is no where to be seen on the Liverpool odds 50/1,
 they obviously dont fancy him

From watching lamberts interview on ssn he certainly doesnt sound like a man thinking of jumping ship, im beginning to think lambert and martinez are maybe wishful thinking, more likely to land poyet or di matteo in my opinion .

I'm not a betting man myself, but if he's favourite for both jobs could you not lay that on Betfair and make a killing?

you probably can, but it all becomes to complicated for me, and not worth the hassle to make £2.87

Nagging doubt for me is that grayson was at bodymoor last week as tweeted by gary gardner apparently and mystery man saying we may have to wait to get our man - please not grayson!

They had a 'Martinez Out' banner at this this seasons home game, or was it last..
