Whatever happens - I hope the board will take my old mum's wise words into consideration when choosing the new messiah.  Never trust a man whose head is bigger than a football.

Hopefully that will rule out the following

Mr Potato Head

Mr Look How Big My Head is Head

Mr John Prescott Head

Avoid these and we are on the right track.

the Daddy of all the massive heads is Mr Joe Royal,
his head was so large it woudnt fit into the dugout at Oldham,    FACT

The rumour I am hearing is Hoddle. Views?

That it's not going to be Hoddle.
The rumour I'm hearing is bullshit....
Well these are all very constructive. I am just letting you know what I have been told by somebody that works at the club but thank you for your input.

Doubt it would be hoddle but his teams do play decent football, out of the game a long time now, not in my top 6 options but not in the my bottom 6 either- id back him if chosen but i dont think he will be.

Chillax. You asked for my view (sort of) and that's what it is.

Hoddle with a young coach might work, maybe someone like Robinson. But alone, no thanks.

Martinez never got Wigan as high in the Premier League as Bruce or Jewell did...

Bruce had greater resources at his disposal than Martinez, but when the players started to get sold from under Bruce Wigan fell badly.

I still love the fact that Steve Bruce admitted he has to pig out on cream cakes after a loss.  Looking at him recently, and noting he has been out of work for some time leads me to think he must have lost even more games than TSM.  Next....

I suspect like a lot of football fans, I don't get enough time to watch other teams that often and would usually only go out of my way to watch a game involving Villa or a match of significance where Villa aren't playing.

So my judgement of Wigan is based upon their performances home and away against us, where aside from one opening day performance (when we were awful) I have to say Wigan have been consistently, truly and utterly shit. They, without doubt rank as the dullest, wettest, most yellow bellied side I saw at Villa Park last year.

I guarantee if he becomes our manager, we will be in danger of rolling over in the cups every time we get drawn away at a league one club.

The fact they can be so shit until relegation fears spur them on just screams that the manager has serious motivational failures.

Please don't believe Whelans hype either, he's no more than a slimy second hand salesman, repeatedly trying to convince the world he has a gem, just so an unsuspecting punter will take that rusting heap of junk off his hands. It seems he has repeated his mantra of 'Roberto will be the next Barcelona manager' so often some people are actually starting to fall for it.

Maybe Hoddle and Waddle? Get some diamond lights action at Villa Park.

I'm surprised Malky Mackay hasn't been mentioned or linked yet. He's 50/1 at the minute. Think it would be worth an outside punt

I actually think Hoddle might suit a DOF role, but as we aren't going down that road I very much doubt he's a candidate for the manager's job.

I still want Lambert and I still think it will be Martinez.
