I have been told:

THE NEW MANAGER WILL BE ANNOUNCED BEFORE THIS WEEKEND. PROBABLY TOMORROW.

No point speculating further. Sorry for shouting.

Is this genuine?

I can't take any more ITK's, they are effecting my sleep and posture. They have robbed me of my youth and belief in humanity.

well if its announced this week you'd have to say its someone unemployed. We've seen its nigh on impossible to keep things quiet if they have a club.

I think the stipulation for a young and dynamic manager has to be scrapped once the standard of candidate sinks to a certain level.  At that point it surely becomes a case of best man for the job and I think when Simon Grayson starts being mentioned as a serious candidate we have reached that level.  I would honestly prefer Curbishley to the likes of him, Lee Clark etc.

Reading Ralf Rangnick is available.

I thought Mcdermott was the manager there ;)

if we are announcing before the weekend it rules out Larry thank goodness but still leaves fuckwits like Mad mick in the mix. It's Gus for me now.

Also because of the impossibility of keeping it quiet I would guess it involves a foreign manager.

Although I still don't believe we have approached anyone yet.

Effin' well better not be; unproven, uninspiring and underwhelming.

I've not been able to get on here much today, is anything happening?

A veil of silence - nobody seems to know anything today.

I think another annoying thing is we are now back to being linked with similar targets to Liverpool. So its gonna seem like we'll have to wait to see what they do before we can. At least with OGS (as far as we know) he wasnt a target of theirs...

Anyone know anything on Domingos Paciencia? Style of play? Does he even speak English?

He did very well for a season with Braga before moving to Sporting Clube de Portugal. He didn't last the season, sacked for lack of leadership/poor communication skills, crap football and lack of physical preparation of the squad.

Does he speak English? He bloody struggles in Portuguese so I doubt his English is up to much. Cracking player in his day though.
