Fucking hell I wasn't jumping for joy at the thought of Lambert, but if it's him or Grayson then it's no contest. Get bloody Lambert in. Don't fuck up again Villa board, you cannot afford to.

Grayson fits the bill perfectly as the sort of manager that we do not need.

Think of the reaction of our rivals to the appointment, it's always a good gauge, for any of the candidates indeed. You know you have someone half decent if they don't take the piss through the fear of us winning.

Grayson, reinvigorate the club? Christ.

Good suggestion although with the busy fixture scheduling around Christmas and Easter, I fear his mind may be elsewhere.

He'll get it.

He's nailed on, in fact.

Lambert was quizzed about his future following Adam Drury's testimonial match at Carrow Road but he got angry with reporters when they pressed him over the vacancy at Aston Villa.

"There is no point asking me. I am telling you I am not answering it," he told reporters.

He also said 'the night is about drury, im very happy at norwich and have never said i wanted to leave ', as you seemed to miss that from your quotes.

oh well, the hope and excitement was good while it lasted.... back to the same old shite then.
I think the thing that was positive about OGS was that it was a left-field suggestion, with the hope of vibrant attacking football
We still need that  we do not need the appointment of another duff serial failure

As an aside, why did Lambert put himself up for a press conference after a friendly knowing full well that all people would want to talk about would be his and Holts futures? Very strange.

Grayson's a strange one, a real leftfield potential candidate. He wouldn't be on anyone's shortlist, really. Which makes me think there's substance in the fact that he's being listed.

OGS - what a shame. Checked out SS news at 10.30pm last night to see if there was an update, and the breaking story was all over it. Finding myself more disappointed that I would have been a week ago; not much we can do if the OGS ultimately decides to stay safe, stay put, keep his family settled, and no doubt, he's been put under a lot of pressure from Molde. Threats to pull all finance from the club in the wake of his meeting with us, that's pretty strong.

We go again, then.

I wish the club hadn't said anything about OGS turning us down. Now anyone looks our 2nd choice when in reality it may have not been.

They had little choice once the cat was out of the bag about the offer.
