What i do think however is that whoever it is they will need a welcome like that which MON got to make them feel at home and supported from the start. Not only will that endear them to us but also show them fucking players that there is now no hiding place left for them.

100% correct.  The MON welcome energised everyone, not sure the next appointment can recapture that level of optimism but i'td be great if it could.

I was over the moon with MON ( at the time ) , and it had a lot to do with a new owner  with money too , looled like a great future.

But to be fair , I am really excited with OGS and his style of football, with MON , I knew his football in the past had been dire  , I just want to be entertained a little ;)

Whoever it is, there are a lot of players who could be potentially lined up against the wall for the firing squad. Also it's make or break time for Gabby, he was fucking dreadful at the end of the season and his attitude was appalling. He's too old to talk about potential now and needs to perform consistently well.

The club needs fundamental change, from top to bottom.

One thing I do hope is that OGS gets help where he needs it. I also hope Lerner backs him with money, rather than thinking "did well with Man U youth team, so he can work with kids, so he can just use the ones we have".

We've got a major squad rebuild to start doing ASAP this summer, he has got to be backed.

Agree Paulie.  Not only did the players hide behind McLeish and let him take flak, but so did Lerner and Faulkner.  Faulkner made things even worse by saying that he expected Villa to finish 6th, which was never going to happen.  If they do appoint OGS then they have to not only back him with funds but also in the media.

As a very learned scholar told me, "Give a player an excuse and he'll take it." Good point about fan support- Houllier even got blamed for getting them fit.

I can confirm Mourinho will not be joining us. He has signed an extension at Real Madrid.

I watched a great Norwegian film recently, Troll Hunter. A couple of trolls brought over would soon sort this bunch of tossers.

they would be better at center backs , than the ones we have at the moment

Probably eat less too.

If we get OGS, let's just hope the dullards running the club back him, the side needs major surgery and it can't be done on the chaep.

Acquiring a new Manager is just half the battle.

Jose probably heard Ole was in the frame for the Villa job and thought "Fuck it - may as well stay at Real now!"

Spot on. The next poll should be how much backing will he get...once he is in of course.

A two year extension could set up Jose perfectly to succeed Siralex
