Is Gus Poyet a verb now? ;)

I Gus Poyet
You Gus Poyet
He/She/It Gus Poyet

Yes.

Is that something to do with damp knickers?

Has Steve Bruce been any closer than 20/1 before now?

R5's Monday Night Club was supposed to be talking about the managerial vacancies in the prem, but they barely mentioned us and Boggies, it was all Liverpoo and Chelski. Bastards! I don't know why I'm surprised by shite reporting anymore!

Talking of managers, has anyone seen Steve Kean since he went to India, or is he being repatriated bit by bit in little bags of chicken portions?

Not that I want him at VP! Jeez no!

Randy's back in town apparently, so eyes down, look in!

Last week I read Gabby saying how much the team would like Kevin Mac to get the job, how qualified he is, etc etc.

My immediate thought was that they want their cushy routine affected as little as possible, hence going for the path of least resistance, ie someone who is already there.

I get the feeling that Solskjaer will come in with a big broom and see straight through all the prima donnas.

My thoughts as well, KMac is not an option.

Me too. I certainly hope so.

I want someone new to come in, so the established players have to impress him, and not just expect to keep their status because of their reputation. As for Gabby, well... meh, I'd be looking to get rid, he's going backwards.

Yes, the whole place needs a good kick up the arse.
Anybody who wants la dolce vita can do one.

The main group of underachievers also just have the one year left on their contracts now don't they? A new man will get them earning a new contract or ship them out, whereas an internal appointment may not have that impetus with them.

Somebody young like OGS will have every reason to want to shine and impress, whereas an older 'been there done that' manager won't worry about a few failures on his CV.

It's not blind optimism or blind anything, OGS is certainly a risk but it's a calculated one and accordingly the possible rewards are huge. I'd rather this than another 'glad to have a job' manager, quite frankly, and of the other 'young and vibrant' candidates they may have marginally more experience but that's about it!

So it's 'Yes!' to OGS, now sign him up Randy!

I see OGS is 6-1 to be Man U's next permanent manager (the list also includes DOL at 66-1). Do they think he'll do a couple of years with us and then go back to the Mancs?

Mourinho will be Man Utd's next manager. Anyone putting cash on someone else is mad.
