OGS?
If we are going to shorten his name can we all start calling him Ole please. OGs makes me nervous after last year's own goal of an appointment.

I honestly don't think there's a woman on earth who could piss on my legs as fantastically as I could do myself.

Isn't shortlisting Guardiola and Capello, but talking to Roberto Martinez a little bit like saying on a Friday night, "right, I'm off out up town, and I'm going to shag Cheryl Cole" but then thinking "but first of all, I'm going to get Sonia from Eastenders to curl one off onto my chest"?

By that rationale, employing Alex McLeish would be akin to gargling Mary Beard's fanny batter.

reminds me fish and chips friday  :(

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/may/17/liverpool-pep-guardiola-roberto-martinez

"Liverpool have wasted little time in the search for Kenny Dalglish's successor by drawing up a wish-list headed by Pep Guardiola and Fabio Capello, and have already approached Roberto Martínez at Wigan Athletic, Swansea City's Brendan Rodgers and André Villas-Boas within 24 hours of bringing the Anfield legend's reign to an end."

Anyone else notice how Sonia looks like that Rocket kid who was on Soccer AM years ago?

If you line up all the potential and gettable frontline candidates - Martinez, di Matteo, Lambert, Rogers, Solskjaer, I'd say four will never build a Champions League-winning team. Solskjaer might. It's a gamble, but let's die trying.

This^^  as the internetters say.

R5 just reported that the OGS links, essentially (they didn't use these words per se, but it came down to) ... Unsubstantiated Twitter Shit!

Probably just a bit upset they didn't get the news out first, there is clearly some substance to it, whether it's a done deal yet I don't know but there is no chance it's all rumours.

After watching that documentary on Ole. I feel  inspired about his quality and professionalism. I am now genuinely excited. He has massive respect surrounding him and players really seem to understand his philosophy. Also reckon he will attract young and exciting players. Bring it on ...........

There's no shame in being excited about this. Its what its all about for me. Unorthodox, risky, imaginative and more than anything else BRAVE. It shows that the club has some balls. The worst thing we could have done was gone for somebody who is steady and more of the same.

I'm not bothered what the players think. Hopefully OGS, if he gets the job, will be building his own team and I reckon the younger players will love him and prosper.
It's time to actually start building something that is lasting, progressive and fresh and it will take some time but it could be a lot of fun on the way.

I understand that some fans have reservations. Especially the ones who wet the bed. But I dont want to hear from you at the moment so do one. :)

I would much rather we did something with a bit of vision like this than just took another manager from he same pool of bog standard British managers who seem to get these jobs without ever actually doing much of note.

In case he gets the job, is there a shortcut way of doing the letter that is an 'a' and an 'e' squished together?

If Ole arrives down Bodymoor in his tracksuit top , Dunne will probably run up to him and say ' Oi you , you are wearing my top , OGS ,which means  own goals scored'

God forbid, first time and hopefully the last time I will ever do this, but:

Oh, I thought it stood for 'oversized greasy snacks.'
