Norwegians love Britain, it seems so exotic to them. My wife's cousin is a Spurs fan, he stays with us a couple of times a season when he comes to watch games. He's a great bloke, but his idea of fun is wandering round Wood Green and Hackney before the match, soaking up the Britishness.

OGS... yes please, if he is appointed we should get right behind him and delight in the fact that he plays attacking footie, isnt Mctit, , is a winner....

After watching the vid, I think there is a good chance he might say no. He's signed a 4 yr deal, clearly loves the place and probably wants his kids to grow up there.

I like it over here, it's quiet and scenic, and great for kids.  If I was offered two million quid a year to relocate to Brum though, I'd have my belongings packed up and the kids told to say goodbye to their mates before you could say "Bostin'!"

Guardian reckon he will say no. But then we have not even approached Lambert and they reckon he has said no, and Martinez turned us down after we offered him the job last year too....

If true it would be depressing to think we cant attract managers from much smaller clubs, although the guardian are often wrong so lets wait and see.

OGS or Lambert or Rodgers would be great.  Please no to the old guard like Bruce, Curbs, Moyes etc.

the fact that he has a Villa supporting Wife actually helps me in my pathological and totally irrational dislike of all things Manu

are the Guardian still linking us to McCarthy or Curbushley? They seemed to rubbished all decent links to us.

I have a Norwegian friend who thinks Southampton is awesome and sophisticated. She comes from Oslo, I just don't fucking get it.

Wigan give permission for Loverpool to speak to Martinez. SSN Breaking News ....

I must say, I'm surprised. I thought Liverpool still considered themselves one of the giants of British football despite evidence to the contrary. All Martinez has on his CV is that he's successfully avoided relegation several years running with unfashionable Wigan.  Appointing Martinez would be a huge gamble. I hope they take it and live to regret it.
Martinez is a yes man, which is what FSG want

Norwegians take quiet and clean and beautiful places for granted. Fjords bore them to fucking tears. They like places that are a bit rough and dirty, and people who are a bit sarcastic and argumentative.

I don't understand the logic in this i'm afraid. Why would that be the overriding requirement for FSG?
