Hang on Greg, you want them - to use your own words - 'to look abroad' and then as soon as they do, they should stop pissing about and go for Lambert or Rodgers.

I'm fucking glad you weren't in charge of the D-Day landings. We'd have invaded Dorset

I already answered this Damon. Norway is not a top league abroad..  Presumably when i said look abroad you took that to mean anywhere from the isle of sky to Albania provided they have a league

Do you think Arsenal should never have gone in for Arsene Wenger when they brought him over from the Japanese League?

Ignorance.

All this OGS talk could well be a load a crap we don't know, but if they are talking to him it's a brave move and at least they're showing some imagination.

Personally i think he needs to carry on cutting his managerial teeth for another couple of years before he comes over here and takes a Premiership team to the likes of Old Trafford and the Emirates but if he does come, at least we could all sing Baby Face to him Al Jolson style.

Good call.

Have you actually suggested a possible candidate, or are you doing your usual spiel of being against everything and for nothing?

Ridiculous move in my opinion. Stop pissing about and get Lambert or Rodgers.

Yeah how come Liverpool Sacked Kenny yesterday and now have permission to talk to Martinez? Did we not ask then? have we not asked Norwich?

Maybe just maybe we didn't want to talk to them?

Yes I know that, that's part of my question really, we should be!

Not sure about Ole Gunnar Solskjær its a bit too much of a lap of faith.

Well yeah obviously most risks don't come off, that's why they're risks.

But let's go for it eh??

Wenger is unique and it was a risk, but why not? Or are you advocating, go with what you know? We may as well stick Curbs in there or give Megson a shot? In fact we should have just hung on McLeish and booked our ticket to oblivion. He would be a gamble but his background is incredible. Not your regular managerial hire.

But most managerial appointments are the same names from the same pool of the same type of managers - Bruce, McCarthy etc - so not many Wengers have even been attempted.
