Any reports on what Randy eats for his breakfast? If its bacon and eggs my money's on OGS (recommended by old bacon face himself).

I can only speak for myself, but I'd be happy to give any new manager time, including Lambert and Martinez.  I think if the signs of progress are there, then results can be forgiven in the short term.

It would take a signing as unexpected as Solskjaer to change expectations. A manager like Lambert or Martinez would come in and a few defeats would be enough to give everyone the shits. Solskjaer could lose games, even have a relatively poor season and still get the benefit of the doubt. Win a few and everything would change.

That is a great point. I am quite enthused at the prospect of it being OGS, not least because I put a wedge on him this morning before his odds tumbled!!

Tbh, anyone who comes in and plays football, not the hoofball we've witnessed, gets my vote.

I think OGS would be a good leftfield appointment, and you can't spend that much time sat next to Fergie without absorbing something worthwhile.

For me:
Martinez
Rodgers
OGS
Lambert
AVB
Di Matteo
All yes.
McCarthy, Curbs, (add appropriate outdated hoof merchant).
All no.

I agree, very good point.

I'd also suggest that, looking at it from OGS's point of view, if he's going to manage a PL side, then we look kind of ideal.

The fact we've just had a godawful season, played terrible football and depressed the shit out of everyone means that he's not going to have to achieve much to make a good fist of it.

That might be enough for him to counteract the "is the job too big for me this early" point.

I suspect it would also annoy Dave Whelan, which would be awesome.
