I'm still hearing that Roberto Di Matteo is the preferred choice of those at Villa Park who matter. Also preliminary talks have been held.
He's not my first choice but I could live with it.
And by the way, I wont say on here where I get my info from, but it is a fairly decent source.
Apparently Randy is due in the UK on Friday and an announcement will be made early next week.
As I say, if it's wrong don't shoot the messenger.
With a CL Final being prepared for, I cant believe that to be true.

As much as hes resurrected Chelskis season, I've also heard a few bad things about Di Matteo at Baggies so dont think he would be suitable for us and have struck him off my short list.
I'm not saying that face to face talks have been held, But I heard that within a couple of days of the Bolton game enquiries were made club to club about RDM's future and we were told that we can have first dibs at the end of the season come what may. Which says more about Chelsea's search for a new manager than it does about us. But I wont be too surprised to see Ray Wilkins installed as DOF and RDM as first team coach.

I'm guessing Mazrim is going for Barbra Streisand this time around after his predictions last year  ;)

I'll probably regret asking this but... remind me.

I wish you well at your solstice hippy love-ins, but we'd settle for a complete cnut that won us a trophy.
Strangely enough one of those has just become available.

Sorry Maz, but it still tickles me after all this time.

Its not bad news, its just a bookie's odds.
McLeish isnt going to be Villa manager any more than Barbara Streissand.

Greg, you don't know your tack from your tact but otherwise you are well in tune.

I think I will go for Zola for no other reason than my younger son met him at the O2.   Zola claimed that my boy was sitting in his seat but on production of the correct seat stub by my lad Zola was very apologetic and courteous.   I like courtesy in sports stars so Zola gets my vote.   Also if he came I would claim the bragging rights that my son had actually met the owner and the manager.   It's a bit of a convoluted rationale because I have another son who has met everybody who is anybody.

See my previous comment on a similar theme. Some irrelevant nonsense about Martinez being a puppy dog/ teddy bear. Ron Saunders was not a baby kisser. Save that sentimentality for your family. What we must have is a competitive sports team, without a care for their cuddle quota.

Be interesting to know what Reading and Watford fans think of Rodgers.

See that'd be my concern, he failed pretty terribly at both those clubs.

The Scottish guy has gone hasn't he? It's not some deception designed to fool us into thinking he's been sacked just to give season ticket sales a boost? Then In a month's time, PK introduces us to the dream team what is mad alex and mad mick?

What's the general consensus on the Norwich boards?
