I remember last season , talking to a good mate of mine who is a season ticket holder at Leicester and goes to the away games and I said to him ' so who was the best team in your league ' and he said ' Norwich , they played some brilliant football ,, loved watching them'

So PL would be ok by me.

If we'd finished 8th and won the League Cup we'd have been cheering McLeish down Colmore Row.

Different mountain tops, painful as it is.

Not if we'd spent their cash we wouldn't.

Probably Martinez for Liverpool

Im sure we are well down the line with Lambert already. I honestly believe it will be announced Friday

MON would fit the bill but I think he will stick with Sunderland as long as he gets financial backing from his board for next season.

I think Randy may have decided to splash the cash for a short period of time.

Well, well, well. Isn't it funny how fate works?

Here you go Mr Lawrenson and Mr Hansen. That fella you spent the last 11 months telling us was a great manager? Here, have him, he's yours. Compensation? No, no, I wouldn't dream of it. It's on the house.

Damaged goods you say? Granted, he has the odd blemish, but I'm sure a decent set of forceps will remove that letter from up his anus.

Have I mis-read this thread title? It's not 'Who do you want as Liverpool's next manager?' Fuck 'em.

Fair point but it could impact on who we get. I wish our guys would just go and get their man. Look at Liverpool, Kenny's barely left the building and they've made an approach for a manger.

Yep, I understand, but I logged in all I could see were posts saying who L-'The Mighty Reds YNWA' would get etc.... I rather talk about the Villa. For me I hope they get Lambert wrapped up as soon as.

I don't think anything will happen with Lambert (if anything does) until after their game with Celtic next week.

Gone right off lambert. Its the MON thing i guess. Not so much that i think he's a clone of him, more Lerner does.

It can never be said enough. Downing, Henderson & Carroll for £75million. AM got enough stick for Hutton & Zog who cost a fraction of that.

Let's be honest Greg you won't like anyone we hire or are linked with. That's why you can't come up with more than "look abroad" for who you'd want.  ;)

I can't deny it worries me a lot about him having read about the way he manages and sets his side up.

I really didn't mean it as a complaint Dave, more a utopian wish we get who we want and Liverpool don't beat us to the punch.

Rodgers has come right in on the early odds for Liverpool so could well be him. And lets face it, he could do a great job there.
