Just had another text that mentions Allardyce. This is all getting a bit worrying.

Based on tonight's events, I've taken that 8/1. Expect that to be greatly slashed by lunchtime.

i just hope we don't get lambert because he's the one Lerner would be stupid enough to give a  big contract to and he looks the favourite. Gone by this time next year if he comes

So, the first time he fails in his management career will be Villa. For definite.

To be fair, if it was going to be with anyone, it would be with us wouldn't it?

Mini-MON. you can see it happening with Lerner. Clueless for 2 seasons so he goes back to what he knows. even looks like pubehead

Small Heath are getting excited by Noel Blake being lined up to replace Hughton. Still dont believe that twat is coaching in the England set up.

A little over a year ago Coyle was flavour of the month as he had Bolton pretty high in the league and a good cup run going. Plenty on here were saying they wouldn't mind him. Then came the twatting by Stoke in the semi and they've been shite ever since.

That is the one thing that always concerns me with next big thing type managers.

I've just got home from work. I can still confirm Steve Nicol, at least out here is under consideration. However, the Allardyce rumours shouldn't be dismissed. There's a lot of merit in hiring someone like him. Firstly, he isn't afraid of the media, and he'd be incredibly proud to be our manager. It would be the biggest job he's ever had, and will ever have. If anyone can raise our profile it will be Big Sam. Second, his Bolton team never went down and he even got them into Europe. Third, he has a reputation of signing quality foreign players, even if one or two are past their best. He managed to get Anelka in his prime to join Bolton for goodness sake for which he deserves an award. He's a big presence who can work within a budget and will make the best of it. I don't really believe he knows how to play one way. He just makes use of his resources.

I know that some people are going to urinate themselves over this, but it actually is quite feasible that this would be exactly the type of hiring that Randy is looking for.

I really can't stand Coyle and anytime i'm asked why I can never come up with a decent reason, I think he's just got one of those faces.
