Allardyce has a good foreign scouting network. Nobody can take that away from him. Could finish what Houllier started maybe?

I've heard rumours from seven different sources (one of whom correctly predicted the death of Whitney Houston) that David O'Leary has been approached. Apparently Rob Yates is next in line should that fail.

Sam would see it as finally getting a big club, he would bring in some quality players too I reckon.
If he can get Cole scoring goals he could re-ignite our Gabby.

Be great if he could unearth us someone like Okocha. I still have nightmares about that freekick of his in the semi.

You GM collaborators shouldn't tease too much. Some of the plebs have dodgy tickers.

It's a sign of the times that Lerner has us worrying about who he will appoint as opposed to looking forward to who will be appointed.

Just commenting on what is on here, I know nothing beyond that Maz.

If you look at how injuries have ravaged our season these past two years, there might be some logic in the Fat Sam connection.

He is big into sports science, and has a whole team of dieticians, nutritionists and physios that he takes to every club.  Except West Ham, I'm led to believe.  So he might welcome the opportunity to be reunited with them again at VP.

From the clubs point of view, they might think that less rehabilitation time for our key players will automatically result in more points, whilst at the same time Fat Sam won't be demanding the earth vis a vis transfer funds and so forth.

Assuming the claret and blue link isn't a joke - Eddie Howe at Burnley perhaps?

A good up and coming manager but not enough experience.  Good start to his career but difficult to see that he is going to make it to the top.  Would definitely need a good DOF to lean on.

At Bolton there was a period where he managed to attract some top stars (relatively speaking) - Campo, Diouff, Okotcha spring to mind - without bankrupting the club.  A similar policy now could really compliment our youngsters.

Young, envigorating? Hmmm, sounds like fat Sam doesn't it? NOT.

It's silly season.

Davies to replace Heskey?

Worse still - he would probably re-sign Heskey. Sleep tight everyone.

There's sound logic behind that Kevin

If Sam was Italian he would be called Allarderci and would probably be the boss of Juventus now.
