I'd forgotten about Rafa. Reckon he'll probably go back to Liverpool instead.

Kombouare would be an interesting appointment - had PSG top of Ligue 1 when he was sacked for not being famous enough. Our board will probably insist on EPL experience again, though.

I only hope that Karl Henry can be patient and wait until we have a manager in place before deciding on his future.

Of the logical & realistic names we could get my choice would probably be Poyet. With Lambert as the next safer choice. Be nice if it was a good leftfield choice though, rather than an AM type leftfield.

I'd be very happy with Lambert. Other than that I would go for Poyet.

Am I alone in thinking that Lambert wouldn't necessarily be the perfect choice? He doesn't have any record of working with young players and his football is pretty boofy. I mean, part of the reason yesterday's performance was so shit was that we were so dominated by pretty basic football.

Lambert would be my choice. I think he's the right sort of manager for us now. He's a winner too and we need a bit of that mentality again.

Martinez is now odds on with most bookies. Lambert out to 5-2/3-1.
Ranieri, Benitez 14/16-1 with odds falling.  Klinsmann out to 33-1. Brendan Rodgers looks like getting a few bob on him. Who knows, but Martinez in the man for me; If we can get him.

Brian, after what I've seen this season I'd take a Spit the Dog/Bob Carolgies dream team.

Spit the Dog..now yer talking. It works for 'Arry. Bring more canines into football with bite yer legs tactics.

Fairly sure I read that Lambert's used more different systems/formations than any other Premiership manager this season. Tactical flexibility isn't something that most of the other candidates offer (Rodgers, particularly).

He is tactically flexible. My only concerns are that he doesn't seem to sign players from abroad(that may be due to how Norwich have come up through the leagues) and defensively they were very shaky. However I'd hope he'd develop with us, so I'd be happy to have him as our manager.

I don't know why but I think the new manager might have a reasonable sum of money to spend. The statement from Lerner acknowledged errors over the last two seasons and suggested he is looking to rectify them.

Lambert. I'd say someone like Benitez has a more impressive CV and is probably a more knowledgable and capable manager, but Lambert would be less likely to cause division and friction within the club.

Same goes for any foreign appoint: we could get a very good manager from Spain, Germany or Holland, but there is always the risk that they don't "get" the Premier League and struggle.

Lambert would have everyone behind him, hit the ground running and do a decent job regardless of the level on investment.

I'd also be happy with Martinez, I think with better players he'd produce a good side.

There was a Turkish bloke who I always thought would do well over here, cant mind his name but managed their national side and a few in Italy and Germany.
