Vital Villa contributors are in agreement of a Zola - Poyet dream team to take the club forward...

They are? Well I wonder why they haven't been installed already then.

i would be quite happy with a lot of the managers we have been suggesting, i reckon there is probably 10 or more gettable names who i would readily accept,

i cant remember it being like this last time,
i realise we were maybe thinking of a bit bigger name then but even so i'm really hopefull we can end up with someone most of us can unite behind this time.
of course it might be because a lot of managers look a lot better after we have had a year with AM, he might just in the end turn out to be a blessing in diguise if the board get it right

I think the latter part is correct, essentially a year of Mcleish has stopped us, for the most part, turning our noses up at the likes of Martinez or Lambert. We'll be far more united under one of those.

After seeing another Villa player state they want to have a greater impact next season season, why don't we go for Paolo di Canio.

His tendency to take a swing at under performing players would have seen three quarters of the Villa team on the deck by the end of most games this season.

It has been confirmed today that Slavin Bilic will step down as Croatia manager after the Euro's. He was often touted as a potential- what are people's thoughts now?
Just about to post this myself...he should certainly be on the short list alongside AVB, Rodgers, Lambert and Di Matteo.

Well maybe its the pint I'm having but for some reason I feel Randy has learned a lot from the last 2 years and will make major changes. Last summer was so underwhelming and one of shock over the McLeish appointment I really think the next few weeks will bring us all some excitement and hope for next season.

I don't even believe our team needs massive investment to turn us around. We might not be able to challenge at the very top end but we need to head in that direction. In the right hands with the bulk of our team and a few others we should be able to do this.

What a relief this season is nearly over though. Onward and upwards please Mr Learner.

Andre Villas Boas, 5-year deal. He's vacationing in Brazil, won't make a decision. When he does, I can't imagine it'll be us.

Interesting.
Translation for the 2nd link:
After a dramatic season in which Aston Villa has failed to certify the stay until the last day, the villains want to build an ambitious project in which no repair costs and have thought of André Villas-Boas as the cornerstone. In Villa Park has already discarded continuity of McLeish as head of the team and first efforts will focus on finding a coach of the highest level on which hold the new project. The favorite to take on that responsibility is André Villas-Boas.The Portuguese coach has not lost its fame despite the bad season has signed in the Chelsea and says he is in England, Aston Villa is ready to offer you a millionaire contract and five-year contract to convince him to join your project.

Why the story would break on a Spanish site, I have no idea. Only Valencia's name has been mentioned with him in Spain. He's also linked with four or five Italian clubs with Roma being the favourites.

From what his agent said, they're in no rush to make a decision, prefering instead to enjoy their holiday in Brazil.
