Joking Legion. It's an education in itself getting used to this forum with all you oldie posters! Great fun as well as educational.Superb fun and fantastic to be back in touch with Villa fans after leaving the UK.

Who actually thinks Lerner will sack Eck?

Not me.

The excuse will be "you have to give managers time"

He'll leave by "mutual consent" at the end of the season. I'm sure of it.

If he doesn't leave then I'll hunt him down like a dog. He's going one way or the other.

And 4 million better of than when he arrived? He will be with us at the start of the next campaign, unless we go down!

McLeish's body language lately has been of a broken man who knows the writing is on the wall. He's already basically been told he has until the end of the season and presumably no more. If he's not sacked before the end of the 14th May, I'll be stunned - it would be financial suicide.

Whatever he walks away with, he will be walking away.

Wouldn't surprise me.  I'm sure Lerner and Faulkner are furiously studying the book of excuses, so that they can use every last one to justify keeping him on at the club.  Expect plenty of, "The existing financial problems when he took over meant he has not been able to bring in his own players", "injuries to senior players at key times in the season", "he's had to work under immense pressure because fans don't like that he came from Birmingham" etc etc.  Topped off with "against such adversity he has done well to ensure the Premiership status of the club this season".

Then in the summer we see the arrival of "gems" like James McFadden and Barry Ferguson!!

I think the Ginger one will still be in charge at the start of next season, if only for a short while.

I don't. Look how difficult it was to replace that egotistical scumbag when he walked out on us 5 days berfore the season started. The same applies to replacing a manager midseason. You'd expect Randy won't get bitten twice and will choose the summer when there are plenty of managers to choose from.

No club should start a new season without hope. For that and all the financial, not to mention the footballing reasons, I still believe McLeish will be gone at the end of the season.

Great performance by Norwich today. Stick me in the Lambert camp. His team went for it, and could very easily have won this. Lovely, lovely football.

I hope you are right on that one.An announcement after the Norwich game would be music to everybody's ears. We will see.

Lambert was my second choice behind Rodgers. Really having second thoughts now. Lambert clearly is very smart tactically and isn't afraid to have a go at the top sides. Lambert reminds me a lot of O'Neill but I think he is a lot better and has more strings to his bow than O'Neill.
