Only two bookies shown at the moment on Oddschecker.

I can't believe it was less than a year ago that I was checking that site on a daily basis, watching the odds for Moyes and Ancelotti tumble!

What are the feelings about Mark Hughes?  Considering QPR's position when he took over, I would be amazed if he hasn't got a clause in his contract that allows him to leave if they are relegated.  I have always really rated Mark Hughes as a manager and I think he'd be a good fit at Villa.  Despite their position, Ithink he has done a pretty good job at QPR and he made some pretty astute signings in January.

Still don't understand why we didn't appoint Hughes in the first place.

Hughes?  Not for me.  Turgid football, no record of nurturing youngsters, no loyalty...

For me, he's just not the right fit for Villa.

I'm sure somebody said he wanted a get out clause if the Top 4 came in for him. Not sure how true that is

Yes, I agree with that. I can't imagine Hughes as Vila manager, and I'm not sure I want to.

For those of you wanting Woy of the Albion, take a look at the article in The Sun today where he too thinks that McLeech has done a good job for Villa! What are these people taking?

I think that's just another case of the managers union, don't slag off a fellow manager in public, which is understandable considering what Woy went through last season.

Lambert is realistic and has done just about enough to prove that he deserves a bigger job than Norwich.

err I'd rather avoid Scottish managers - McLeish, McNeil, Docherty, any of them done us any favours ?

Yeah, Ferguson, Shankly, Stein, Moyes even - load of rubbish.

And Villa have never done well out of Scottish managers. Our first chairman definitely wasn't Scottish, and our secretary-manager George Ramsey who helped us clean up pre-war was anything but from Scotland (apart from the being Scottish bit, obviously).

Come to think of it, Houllier wasn't that good for us, so I'd definitely turn down Laurent Blanc. And Fernando Nelson never shook up any trees, so Jose Mourinho would be rubbish. And I once went to a rubbish tapas restaurant, so Guardiola? No chance.

Could be weird last game of the season , If Villa want Lambert .

His team really turns it on so he shows Lerner what he can do , while sending us down and then thinks I dont want to be in the championship , so no thanks.

Lets hope we are already up  , sack McLeish and then go there with Mac and Sid  , and get Lambert in the summer.

If we go down there will def be a change, if we stay up it will still be considered, but I suspect AM may hold on another season.  Last season we had a decent shot at getting someone like Moyles, but that ship has now sailed and we have to look at the next level down and I think Lambert would be a good short.

AM is done, his time is up. As for Chris Moyles, I think he's happy at Radio 1.
