If Carragher was our manager and was succesful he would then become Liverpools manager. We need a manager who is  ex Villa or one that supports Exeter or Abroath.

Jamie Carragher? No thanks. I can't stomach that scouse twat as it is.
I dont see why we have to gamble on somebody with no experience at all and its not really what we need.
Somebody up and coming and not yet the finished article by all means, a Rodgers, Lambert, AVB and so on but not a complete novice.

Racist Scouse twat... if you please.

The dressing room would be a treacherous place to work with all that saliva on the floor too.

I reckon he will go back to Portugal or maybe Spain to prove himself again before returning to England.

Carragher maybe a novice but its well known he has an encyclopedic knowledge of world football and players. Doesnt matter where he comes from if hes got the will to succeed which he does and has the respect of players he could do us a lot of good.
Tell you what though its going to be an interesting summer at Villa Park. I believe Randy will suddenly spring to life and make all kind of changes or sell the club or literally anything!

Paul McGrath with Gazza and Merse as his assistants.

With Bryan Robson as DOF. The team would get relegated but the Holte pub would get a return on the refurb investment.

Is it? He seems like a thick c**t to me. He probably thinks Encyclopedia is an STD.

For me there would only be two and they are not any of the ones mentioned for me Moyes  or Benitez if Lerner wants to keep the club and stick his hand in his pocket and give them the funds none of the fore mentioned have proved anything and in my opinion will never make the grade at the highest level.

Who I want and who we'd get are two entirely different things.

I think the neccesity of the situation would mean a younger Manager looking to build an Empire - would require top class recruitment though so won't happen.   Our Board are too uninformed and lazy.

Ideally it would be The Chosen One. Right now though i'd accept N. E. One.

And his name would catch my eye in the newspaper for the right team for a change.

We can but dream.

We've more chance of getting Andre Agassi.

I would love an ex-player who genuinely cares about the club to take over, but I can't think of too many ex-Villa players currently managing or who have recent experience of managing at a high level.  Southgate is one who springs to mind, but he hardly inspires confidence and he still isn't forgiven for the way he left us.  The only other one I can think of who is currently in a high profile coaching position is David Platt, but his managerial record is hardly brilliant.  Maybe it is because he was my favourite player when he played for us, but I'd be willing to give him a chance.  Having experienced football abroad both as a player and a manager, maybe he would be able to see the merits of and be willing to work under a Director of Football as well.  Graham Taylor Director of Football with Platty as coach?
