If the club had any ambition they would be looking at Moyes' reaction after the cup game. Now there is a guy who's gone as far as he can at Everton and needs a new challenge, and if there was ever a time to get him it would be this summer. Unfortunately the club hasn't any ambition...

Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

People have been saying that about Moyes for years.  If we didn't get him two years ago, we certainly aren't going to now.

I think Hodgson would be perfect for us at the moment, and would also work well with Randy.
I would even take Pulis at the moment-the football would be better.

Don't think moyes would come to us, why leave one club with no spending power to join a club who are cost cutting.

I'd like to see McDermott from Reading.

you might not like what he said, but he was spot on in my view, thats exactly where we are, and we need someone who is going to come in and say 'this place stinks, and i'm gona change it' pull no punches

That had nothing to do with Holloway having a go at Villa. He wasn't "telling it like it is" he was just trying to stoke up a Dutch auction to get more money for Adam because he was due a cut of any profit on the transfer. The greedy little carrot-crunching pixie was just playing us off against Liverpool.

Let's not mention Holloway in the same sentence as Graham Taylor

The appointment of Pulis would be one of the only ways in which Randy could act to make things worse than they are now.  There's no way I would stick around to watch his disgusting style of football.

Quite.

Coming into a club and setting things right is a whole lot different to slagging it from the outside.

Saw Moyes was at the (ahem) theatre of dreams yesterday? Ok I'm sure he was scouting for their upcoming match but I also spotted Faulkner in the seat directly behind him. Surely a nice opportunity to have a word in his ear...

Seriously though, I think it's accepted that Moyes was very high up the list the last two times the managers seat became vacant, but turned down our approach for unspecified reasons. If that reason WAS the strict budget directive, and Collymores info is correct and those restrictions have been lifted, is it so unreasonable the time may now be right for Moyes to tackle a fresh challenge?

why Moyes,
he's been at Everton 10 years and turned them into a mid table team of scrappers who win nothing,
we need someone fresh, with new ideas, not the tired old stuff Moyes,Hughes, Bruce,Mcliesh will and do bring

There is more chance of me engaging in coitus with Megan Fox than there is of Moyes agreeing to join us now. We've only gone downhill since he turned down the job. I think he has designs on a genuinely big job and leaving Everton for us is at best a sideways step.

I also am not a particularly big fan of Moyes. A good manager who has done an excellent job yes, but his teams are dull and start the season poorly.

Ironically, I just had a text from my EFC supporting mate and he wants Moyes to resign - they see him as just being too negative. Apparently, a lot of EFC fans want Bilic. Anyway, I texted back saying he needed a good relegation battle to appreciate what Everton "have"

Trouble is, as we discovered last year, the very best managers are not interested in the Villa job despite what we want to believe. Who else could we reasonably expect to attract (emphasis on the word reasonably).

So many of the others mentioned constitute a risk, and gambles are expensive if they go tits up. I think Lambert shows promise if that's the road you want to go down but there are no guarantees there.
