Petrov for me – not out of sentiment, I'd have gone for him before the sad news. The only other player who comes close is Given.

Nobody springs to mind really in terms of being really good, in which case i'd give it Petrov.

Petrov will undoubtedly win it and deservedly for his service over recent years- i would go for given but i beleive in the circumstances it will stan by a landslide.

Petrov because inspite of his shortcomings he plays as if he cares.

I think its Herd, easily.  Great season, plays a number of positions, box to box, developing, great attitude and a super first goal.  And home grown is the best bit of all

For reliability and consistent performance it has to be Stan. When he was out of the side over Christmas and New Year we missed his presence massively.

Ireland has improved with a run of games, but not done enough over the full season.

Herd has not let us down this season and hopefully can take that experience into next year, where hopefully a few more of the youngsters can grab the opportunity.

Given has done as much as I expected him too. Great shot stopper, but if he had more control over his defence then he could have been in the running.

Not much else to shout about, but I think Lichaj has done himself no arm either.

although i said Ireland, i wouldnt have a problem with any of the names others have mentioned, its been one of those seasons where a 'player of the year' is a bit of a misnomer

everyone apart from Hookey's offering of Warnock obviously, i put it down to the fact he must have been smoking the old Mexican Woodbine on that day

I think Keane would send the message out to the club that we aren't happy. He was quality when here as well.

Stan obviously has the sentimental vote, and I wouldn't be against him winning it. As stated elsewhere he's always given everything for the club and has had a decent season until his illness struck.

Ireland has done ok, but not enough over the season to win it. Given has also had a really good season and would be behind Keane or Petrov for me. Herd has done well and should win young player.

Keane for me - as his goals as Wolves may be the difference.
