Just curious, but why would he take a train to London?

Cos it's quicker than driving there and you don't get stuck in traffic?

i am devastated!

in 1998 after a pretty good football career, midland combination and festival league, i got diagnosed with acute myleoblastic leukaemia.
it is a hard aggresive disease and unfortunately is indescrimanate. black white, rich poor it takes no prisoners!
i was 24 and went into hospital on the 15 april and apart from a couple of sabbaticals came out just before christmas 98. relapsed in 2002 but thankfully after my 6th intensive course of chemo, my friend has not come back to visit me!
stylian needs to be positive, i know he will and we all need to give love and support.
i am proud this man has always showed his heart for our club, and i would love to tell you football is futile in the grander scale of things, but even when the priest had been brought in, my love of the villa was there and on a saturday was there and it was important!
i have no concerns for our fighting captain. HE WILL PULL THROUGH!

Really happy for you. Stan needs to fight as you did.

Sitting in the airport in San Diego and I just heard the news.   I feel like I've just been hit by a sledge hammer.

All the best Stan.

My friend on Facebook, a Norwich fan, just posted this on my wall:

Quote
Nearly the same as my Leukaemia Warren, a little more progressed. Great drugs and treatment available. No reason why he won't be kicking next season off for you.

Everything crossed.

Stan has always given every effort for the club and I am sure everyone involved with Villa will be willing him to get through this. Fight the good fight, Stan.

Appalling News - I wish him all the very best in what will be some arduous, testing and at times unpleasant treatment.

At times like this the Villa family pull together for one of our own and stand together.
