200 to chase at Hove is very getable.

Blackwell is going to have a you time filling Patel's shoes. On a wicket that caused Sussex to leave Monty out, he bowled beautifully.

A bit of a collapse at Hove by the sounds of it!

Never looked like making the total.

Things progressing well in the Bears favour at Trent Bridge. Notts are playing Durham and are 51-5 in their first innings chasing Durham's 194 all out. Could do with a draw or an unlikely Durham victory in that one.

Last nights result was an embarrassment for the captain and our 'coach'. A total of 200 should have been one which WCCC should have been easy enough to chase down if as a team take the task on properly. It was plainly evident that, with the early exception of Chris Wight's early burst(3 wkts) that with pace off the ball run getting was not an easy task. Then when we were set a moderate target we allowed Michael Yardy to dominate our run chase that i think after the initial 'Power Play' we had reached approx 23 already behind the required rate but with a whole army of bowlers still to bowl who were never going to get thrashed around the park. The 'quicker' bowlers Liddle and Khan only went for 81 from their 16 overs only a fraction (1 run) above the required RR of 5 per over. Then with Beer and Yardy only going for 50 from their 16 overs we were never gonna win. We should have at least tried to dominate from the outset in the run chase and tried at least to keep pace with the rate.
It was so disappointing....i was looking forward to a day at Lords on 15th Sept.  They may still get there but out of our hands now. Can look forward to our game v Swansea instead.

He got nine wickets plus a run-out. So involved in all ten. Onions made Notts weep, etc...
