Bears win by 3 wickets with 3 balls to spare after losing 3 wickets in 5 balls. Never easy watching the Bears.

17 for 3 at Stumps, what happened at the end... did they get Glenn McGrath out of retirement?

Jeetan Patel has been recalled to the NZ side so will miss a few Bears games. Looks like they will get a short term replacement in, it will be interesting to see who.

Shiv Chanderpaul almost won us the league last season so an International class batsman would be a good shout. Trouble is, how do you replace Jeet's wickets? The bowling attack is weakened by his absence.

From a pal at the game today:

"It's moving about but nothing dangerous. Hardly seen a ball go even shoulder height. Nothing for the pitch inspectors here! Plenty for the shit batting inspectors though."

That's good news. By my reckoning something like 26 wickets have gone down in just over 4 sessions. The Bears need 260 to win. We need some application here lads!

Bears finished on 79/0 so need another 181 to win

Crucial day 2moro this could decide the title as Notts are behind v Somerset

Also could be worth filing in this ECB survey
